"It's a loveliness that can only be described as sweet and fluffy! It exerts an irresistible power." - From the judges' comments by Cheon Hyo-jeong (children's story writer) and Kim Eun-kwon (professor, Cartoon Content School, Cheonggang Cultural Industry University).
"I read this book in one sitting, feeling like a vacuum cleaner was sucking up the words!" - Kang Lee-ju, Songpa Elementary School
“There is no time to be bored because you can have an exciting experience while reading.” - Im Ji-han, Seoul Gyeongin Elementary School
The second winning work of the 'Little Story King', an entertaining story contest for elementary school children held by Biryongso, 'Udada Kongnyang Park' has been published.
Little Story King is a new contest planned by Biryongso to discover novel fairy tales that focus solely on children's fun. It has garnered much attention from the planning stage by soliciting manuscripts in a completely new format that has never been seen before, such as a structure that allows readers to solve missions directly in the book or a combination of entertaining elements such as quizzes, games, mazes, and riddles.
This can be seen as a lower grade version of Story King, which introduced the first child judge system in Korea and created bestsellers such as the "Twenty Questions Detective" and "Geunbangi" series. Little Story King also had 60 elementary school children, who are the actual readers, directly participate in the judging.
Based on the combined scores of 70% from the expert jury and 30% from the children's jury, "Udada Kongnyang Park", which received the most support from both experts and children, was selected as the winner for the second time.
"Udada Kongnyang Park" is an adventure story about Chaerin, who goes to Kongnyang Park at the request of her pet cat, Tofu.
The idea of an imaginary amusement park accessible only to cats through a secret passageway inside the house really sparks imagination and interest.
The story of disguising yourself as a cat and infiltrating a place where humans are prohibited from entering is filled with tension from beginning to end, with the fear of being discovered at any moment.
Non-literary entertainment elements such as avatar customization, mazes, and initial consonant quizzes are naturally incorporated into the text, increasing the immersion of the story and allowing readers to become the main characters and immerse themselves in the story.

Publisher's Review
Today's mission: Please play music for Coco's wedding!
One day, Chaerin receives an absurd request from her pet cat, Dubu.
A request to attend a cat friend's wedding held at Kongnyang Park and play a congratulatory song on his behalf.
Chaerin's ears perk up at the word 'theme park', which had been hesitating.
Like many children, Chaerin's favorite place is a theme park! She ends up accepting Tofu's request, but there's a problem.
You have to decipher the code on the wedding invitation to find the secret entrance to Kongnyang Park.
Will Chaerin be able to successfully solve the first hurdle in the story, the code?
Welcome to Kongnyang Park, a place full of adventure and fantasy!
“I hope you all have a wonderful and happy time.”
Chaerin solves the code and arrives at Kongnyang Park through the fourth drawer.
But there is another problem.
Humans are forbidden from entering Kongnyang Park! Chaerin, who belatedly learns this, buys a cat disguise set and undergoes a cat paw-licking test by a fierce-eyed inspector before finally being allowed in.
After going through many twists and turns, I finally arrived at Kongnyang Park, which is full of new and unique rides that I have never seen before.
The sea cat train plunges into the sugary sea and dives into the mouth of a whale shark.
On the spinning ride hanging from an egg, you can hatch a bird that was thought to be extinct, and Chae-rin rides on a bumper car that moves only when you fart, and she happily farts.
Chaerin's excitement as she rides unique and novel rides she's never imagined before will provide young readers with a unique theme park experience.
An unforgettable, special experience, this is our secret
Chaerin, who has been playing around in the special Gongnyang Park without realizing how much time has passed, forgets that she has to spray cat perfume every two hours to get rid of the human smell.
Before she knows it, cats that have smelled a human begin to flock to Chaerin one by one… Will Chaerin be able to overcome this crisis, arrive safely at the wedding hall, and finish playing the piano accompaniment?
The exciting process of Chaerin solving each problem she encounters unfolds, making you cheer on her brave steps.
The scene where Tofu whispers to Chae-rin, who has returned safely after completing her mission, “This is our secret,” raises expectations for the special story these two will create in the future.
