Into the book
So the plan we came up with was to memorize 80 percent of the material during class.
I placed a workbook next to my textbook and memorized it on the spot, writing down what the teacher said in class.
If you do that, your grades will go up.
Finally, the 'magic' I had been waiting for began to manifest.
But it went up very slowly.
The effort is like a dramatic drama, but the grades go up slowly and like a boring documentary.
Every time, there is something I tell myself.
“I have good stamina.” Among baseball players, those who perform poorly at the beginning of the season but show stamina as the games progress are called “slow starters.”
That's when I thought I was a slow starter.
---From “I chose to succeed through studying”
When you say, “Decide now how you will succeed,” eight out of ten people respond like this.
“I’m not as good at studying as my teacher, and I don’t have any athletic ability or talent.
“Isn’t it a fantasy to live doing what you love?” This question follows me like a stalker.
No, guys.
It's not a fantasy to live doing what you love, it's a fantasy to discover what you love without doing anything.
The things you like to do must be thoroughly treated as 'objects of procedural knowledge'.
Just sitting at your desk and searching for random jobs that come to mind and checking the results won't get you anywhere.
You have to find a way to do it with a little bit of excessive work, not without work.
The definition of the job that comes up in a search isn't what's important.
You have to learn it through direct experience and breaking things.
---From "You can't just stumble upon something you love"
On the other hand, people who see the purpose are good at controlling ambiguous moments.
'Even if this project doesn't produce good results, it's okay because I've become closer with my team members.
When I think, 'Teamwork is an intangible asset, and that was one of the goals I wanted to achieve with this project,' I can't help but feel bad and my composure naturally stays.
A better reputation is a bonus.
Come to think of it, while the goal is a companion to emotional ups and downs, the purpose is a companion to maintaining composure.
What's your partner word? Goals and objectives differ in their meanings, tenses, and impact.
There is nothing similar about them except for the similar letters.
---From "If your goal is a short distance, your goal is a marathon"
There is a huge difference between studying hard and leaving a mark on your life and not doing so.
Let's engrave this trace once.
Then, you will not be swayed or mentally damaged by other people's reputation.
It's a study that you risk everything for in life.
I've done this before.
Once the confidence that you can do something if you put your mind to it is engraved in your history as a definite 'truth', confidence will automatically follow from then on.
This kind of person's center of gravity doesn't waver much unless something extraordinary happens.
---From "Everyone will have a day when studying is their destiny"
When giving up becomes a habit, you will hesitate even when faced with opportunities that should be yours.
That opportunity becomes someone else's.
Then I will always have the value '0'.
In this state, nothing is accumulated, just like multiplying 0 by 100 still results in 0.
It is important to start and somehow make it to 1.
If you multiply 1 by 10, you get 10, and if you multiply 1 by 100, you get 100.
Please keep in mind that the speed at which you gain results depends on how quickly you transition from 0 to 1.
---From "Just getting started is a talent"
However, rather than ending here, it is better to include some extra challenges in your plan.
To turn the trap of perfectionism into a sail for successful sailing, you must freely allow yourself the "right to fail."
I've always wondered.
If you're asked to make a plan, why only give it one chance? We're all beginners at some things.
Then shouldn't we give them two, three, or even ten chances?
Since you only get one chance, you'll focus on getting the perfect setup.
How could anyone succeed in one or two attempts if they weren't a god?
---From "Perfectionism is the decision to do nothing"
After entering the Department of History, I applied for a credit exchange class.
I was taking a class related to my major at a nearby university, and an older professor at that university said this.
“History is a man’s study.
“A woman majoring in history was something I couldn’t even imagine in my day.” At first, I couldn’t believe my ears.
I wondered, 'What does gender have to do with academics?' and even though the professor was from the past, I was surprised that he would say something like that so openly.
You know what's even more surprising? People like this still exist today.
I often get comments on my YouTube channel saying things like, “It’s a bit odd that a woman is teaching history.”
---From "Just getting started is a talent"
How is it?
If you draw a picture of the situation according to the seven scenarios of the "Table of Negative and Positive" scenario, doesn't the "Reality of Wishes" come across a little more clearly? If you write it this way, you'll be able to understand at least three things.
First, the thing that you most fear, the 'negative end', and the thing that you most hope for, the 'positive end', have very little chance of actually happening.
There is no need to worry about extreme conditions, so just throw it away as soon as possible.
Unless God intervenes, extreme situations will not occur.
---From "The Table of Negation and Affirmation"
If you can't avoid it, enjoy it, right?
If loneliness is unavoidable, I hope it is an active and enjoyable solitude, not a lonely and passive loneliness.
This is called 'Solitude'.
Theologian and philosopher Paul Tillich divided solitude into two types.
If loneliness is a 'solitude that is passively suffered' by being excluded by others, then solitude is a 'voluntary solitude' that is chosen by rejecting others even though they want it.
Solitude is a time of incubation, where you nurture the seeds of opportunity within you by watering and nurturing them with sunlight.
---From "When loneliness passes, flowers will bloom"
The first is the 'stagecoach-wheel effect'.
It refers to an optical illusion in which the wheels of a carriage appear to be turning backwards even though they are actually pointing in the right direction.
I think this kind of optical illusion happens when I look at life.
Even though I'm on the right path, when I see someone else's gorgeous flowers blooming, I suddenly start to doubt myself and think, 'Am I on the right path?'
Even if this moment is just a 'very brief moment', I can fall into the illusion that my life is slowing down and going backwards.
You must never get stuck here.
---From "Don't let jealousy eat you up"
If I can't receive something good from my family, I should give something good to myself.
I call this project 'Self object'.
Originally, self-object was a psychological term that referred to a mother who listened to all of her child's complaints and demands.
It doesn't have to be my mother who gave birth to me and raised me.
I hope that Jinju can become a mother who asks her what she needs and comforts her without worrying about what others think, in her own space.
I am becoming my own mother.
I think it's not too late to decide on your career path while doing this.

Publisher's Review
“The time will surely come.
It's just not my season right now.”
Megastudy's daily instructor, with 1.8 million cumulative students, ranked #1 star instructor by Yonsei University students.
The first cheer-up that Mr. Idaji presented to the world
*Teacher Idaji, who is ranked #1 in sales in the history section of Megastudy
Why compile a book about dreams rather than history?
Professor Idaji, a renowned history teacher, surprisingly published a self-help book about dreams called “Not All Flowers Bloom in Spring,” rather than a history book.
Professor Idaji is not just famous; he is also renowned for his exceptional history lectures, to the point that freshmen at Seoul National University, Yonsei University, Korea University, and other major universities in 2022 ranked him as the "most helpful instructor in improving history grades."
But why did I put out into the world a story about dreams, not history?
The answer to that question can be found in the book.
“There hasn’t been a single day of ease.
When I was young, my family was so poor that we had to live apart.
Of course, I couldn't even dream of going to an academy or getting private tutoring.
Since I couldn't go to college without a full scholarship, I had to study all night.
After working at a securities firm for about two years, I quit and prepared for the civil service exam for a year.
That year, Seoul did not hire a single history teacher, so I started working as a temporary teacher at a middle school.
After struggling to get hired as a private teacher, I resigned again and started teaching online.
“It really wasn’t easy.”
* “It is important to start from 0 and create 1 first.
If I could do it, you can too.
“I will tell you all my know-how.”
That's why Mr. Idaji says he has a lot to say.
He has met countless students, ranging from teenagers to those in their twenties, thirties, and fifties, and surprisingly, he has found that what they desperately want is not information on exam preparation, but rather "the language of hope and courage that enables them to believe in their own strength and move forward."
He confesses that he knows better than anyone what it means to be gnawing away at yourself day after day: anxiety about an unseen future, feelings of inferiority from comparing yourself to others, and a sense of defeat from falling behind others.
“In the past, what gave me the hardest time wasn’t studying.
It wasn't like our family came from a difficult financial situation.
It was a negative view, negative words.
And every time, it was me who was swept away and about to collapse.”
Mr. Idaji says he wrote this book to share with people in similar situations the thoughts that kept him going whenever he felt anxious about whether it was too late, and the resolutions he made at the moment when he decided the direction of his life.
That's why he generously revealed his secrets here.
It is no exaggeration to say that he has revealed all the know-how that has brought Mr. Idaji to where he is today, including study strategies that start from zero and create one, as well as scheduling methods that increase performance, mental management methods, and even methods for protecting oneself from negative views.
* “Guys, not all flowers bloom in spring!”
The legendary lecture that inspired millions of people who never gave up on their dreams is now available in book form.
As mentioned earlier, Professor Idaji is a good history lecturer, to the point that he is recognized by his students as having contributed the most to improving their grades, but he is also famous for his lectures on 'dreams and life'.
In particular, the lecture on the topic, 'Not all flowers bloom in spring', was evaluated as one of the best ever and brought tears to the eyes of many people.
“I was listening without thinking and then suddenly tears started to flow out.
I'm going crazy.
thank you

“Even people in their 40s cry.
“That was exactly what I needed.”
“I also ended up blooming.
Teacher Daji.
ㅠㅠ”
“I think you have brought out the potential in me that I had been ignoring.
Thank you so much, really.
ㅠㅠ”
"Dream Lecture," which garnered millions of views and garnered a passionate response, was born as a seed, watered, and exposed to sunlight, and was published as a book in January 2023, ready to inspire and encourage more people.
Teacher Idaji says that he hopes that his sincerity in first sharing stories about dreams and life, rather than history books, will be conveyed honestly.
“I know what it means to have a different starting point than others.
