Book Introduction
“Think and Grow Rich!”
The philosophy of success that has changed the most people in history
A masterpiece of success philosophy, the '21st Century Upgrade Edition' is born!

Cumulative sales of 120 million copies worldwide!
Napoleon Hill's best book!

Napoleon Hill's book, Think and Grow Rich, which first outlined the mindset of the rich, has been reborn as a 21st century edition.
This book, which interviewed 507 self-made millionaires of the time and summarized their secrets to success, sold over 1 million copies in the year of its publication, and began to write a new myth about the philosophy of success.
To date, it has sold over 120 million copies worldwide in various editions, and is considered a masterpiece of success philosophy that has transformed the most people in history.

This book began with a meeting between Napoleon Hill and Andrew Carnegie, the richest man of the 19th century.
Napoleon Hill, who was working at a magazine to pay for college, interviews Carnegie with the intention of writing an article about successful entrepreneurs.
In that meeting, Napoleon Hill receives a question from Carnegie that becomes a turning point in his life.
The request was to compile and widely share the secrets of success that anyone can achieve if they follow them.
With the caveat that it might take decades.
Napoleon Hill reveals in his book that it only took him 29 seconds to accept this offer.

This book was the first to systematically organize the mindset of the rich from a psychological perspective.
The principles of self-suggestion emphasized in the book were pioneering, as the latest brain science research has shown them to be very effective.
No other book has so richly illustrated the crucial role that mindset plays in achieving success and wealth, along with concrete practical steps to implement them.
Since its publication, this book has been a bestseller for over 80 years, and it is no exaggeration to say that there is no modern self-help writer who has not been influenced by its subject matter and content.

The recently published 21st Century Edition of Think and Grow Rich features commentary by the editor, supplemented with contemporary examples, and selected and added key content from Napoleon Hill's various works.
Not only will you gain a deeper understanding of the essence of Napoleon Hill's philosophy of success, which he sought to spread throughout his life, but you will also be able to experience the thrill of the original book, something that has been missed in existing books published domestically.

Into the book
Think and Grow Rich contains Carnegie's secrets to success.
This is a proven secret in the lives of millions of people today.
Carnegie wanted to put the magic formula that had created his immense wealth into the hands of people who didn't even have time to study how the rich made their money.
And he assigned me to test the formula against the experiences of successful people in any field to see if it worked.
I also thought that the formula should be taught in public schools and universities.
If this formula is taught properly, it could revolutionize the education system and even cut the curriculum in half.

--- Chapter 1: The Secret to Success (Page 13)

Think about why you are reading this book.
It is because I want to have the ability to transform the invisible thought stimulus called 'desire' into a physical object called 'money'.
The guidelines suggested in the chapter on autosuggestion and the subconscious will show you how to convince your subconscious that you will receive what you desire.
The subconscious mind operates on conviction, and conviction takes the form of belief, which in turn carries out desires.
A clear and definite plan will emerge.
--- Chapter 4: Belief in Your Own Abilities (page 79)

Do you believe that hard work alone will lead to wealth? Forget that idea! It's simply not true.
Wealth, especially massive wealth, is never achieved through hard work and honesty alone.
Wealth comes only when you make clear demands based on clear principles.
It doesn't happen by accident.
In general, an idea can be said to be a thought that stimulates imagination and prompts action.
Sales masters know that ideas are what allow a product to sell where it otherwise wouldn't.
Ordinary salespeople don't know this.
That's why they are ordinary
--- Chapter 7 Imagination (page 163)

A thought based on a strong desire becomes a reality in itself.
The Founding Story of the United States, U.
The story of S. Steel's founding is a perfect example of how ideas can bring about remarkable change.
But if you only look at the miracles that are apparent, you will never find the secret.
Only the eternal and immortal laws of nature will be discovered.
This law can be used by anyone who believes in it and has the courage to put it into practice.
The same law that brought freedom and wealth to America.

--- Chapter 9 Imagination (page 234)

Indecision is the seed of fear.
Always remember this fact as you read this book.
Indecision turns doubt into certainty.
When these two friends mix, fear arises.
The 'mixing' process is usually slow.
This is why these three friends are dangerous.
Once they sprout, they grow without us even knowing their presence.
This chapter will explain the mindset you must have before putting the principles of success into practice.
We will also examine what drives people into poverty and reveal truths that anyone who has ever cultivated wealth—whether measured in goods or a state of mind that is worth far more than money—understands.

13 Principles for Attracting Wealth and Success

Napoleon Hill summarizes the 13 secrets of wealth of people with great wealth.
Each chapter of the book introduces one principle: desire, belief in one's own abilities, autosuggestion, expertise, imagination, systematic planning, determination, persistence, the power of a support group, sexual energy, the subconscious, the brain, and the sixth sense.

The first principle, ‘desire’, is the basis of all success.
Without passion, nothing can be started, and even if you do start, it is difficult to cross the threshold of success.
Napoleon Hill defines a firm desire as the starting point and springboard for dreamers.
Dreams do not come from indifference or laziness, but rather, if what you desire is right, you are commanded to believe in it, move forward, and act on it.

In particular, the book presents six clear and practical steps to transform your desire for wealth into material wealth.
“1.
First, determine the exact amount of money.
2. Second, decide exactly what price you are willing to pay to get the money.
3. Third, set a precise date for receiving the money.
4. Fourth, whether you are ready or not, clearly plan to carry out your desires and then take action.
5. Fifth, write down what you have learned so far.
Write down the amount, date, and consideration in a concise and clear statement.
Clearly describe your plan to build wealth.
6. Sixth, read this declaration aloud twice a day.
When you read the declaration, see, feel, and believe that you already have the money in your hands.” The author says that if you have such a strong desire, dedicate your life to that desire, and hold it in your heart until it is realized, anyone can achieve what they set out to do.

The principles outlined in the book do not operate in isolation from other principles.
All principles are carefully integrated and complementary.
The second principle, 'belief in one's own abilities', is the driving force that turns the 'desire' to achieve or have something into a concrete plan.
The more confident you are in yourself, the more negative thoughts will be erased and your desires will seep into your subconscious.
The third 'autosuggestion' refers to a command that stimulates the subconscious, and the book introduces numerous cases in which thoughts created miracles.
Other principles are also organically linked to help you realize your aspirations.

These 13 principles for attracting wealth and success do not produce perfect results if you follow just one of them.
If you've been feeling discouraged by recent setbacks in your journey to wealth, take a moment to reflect on these 13 principles and consider what you've been lacking.
Now you will learn how to turn that failure into your most valuable asset.

“If you want to become rich,
“Have a mindset that attracts wealth!”

The core message of this book is simple.
Poverty and wealth both depend on your mind.
If you want to be rich, you must have a mind that attracts wealth.
If you burn with a desire for wealth but don't believe you can actually achieve it, you can't become wealthy, right? Napoleon Hill dedicated twenty years to proving this point, meeting with hundreds of wealthy people and deriving the principles of wealth and success.
And finally, he gave birth to the most famous success philosophy book in history.
He himself is the proof of this book.

Editor Bill Hartley speaks of the book's importance:
“Think and Grow Rich” is often cited as the first self-help philosophy book.
Philosophy is more than a set of solutions to business problems.
Philosophy is a system of principles that guides our thinking and actions, providing a code of ethics and a standard of values.
“This book won’t just change your mind; it will literally change the way you think.”
