A grand chase unfolding across the night sea

Sol's family came to the beach for camping.
After having fun playing in the water, when she was starting to get hungry, Sol-i took out the Al-I-Joa chocolate that she had carefully kept in the icebox, but her mother noticed it as if she was a ghost and started nagging her.
“No! Eat first.
"The rice is ready." But then, a seagull snatched the egg that Sol-i had quietly placed on the icebox! It must have thought it was a real egg.
Sol-i was so busy grilling meat and roasting marshmallows that she completely forgot about Al-Ijoa.

But Alijoa only wants to go back to the icebox.
Because you never know when Sol will come looking for you.
Alijoa tries to escape by climbing the seaweed stalk while the seagull is sleeping.
Then, suddenly, it slips and falls, destroying the sand castle that the crabs have built.
After being chased by angry crabs, he luckily meets Sol-i's duck tube and they escape into the sea together... ... but this time, a giant octopus tries to swallow him, thinking he is food.
And then there's the seagull that came chasing me when it realized the eggs were gone! In the sea, giant octopuses and seagulls chase me, and on the shore, crabs wait with their claws snapping...

A world where children are fully welcomed and loved

Every child goes through a period where they believe that everything in the world is alive just like them.
A world surrounded by objects that feel and think like me, artist Jeongju Yoon's "Kongkongkong" series is rooted in such an animistic world.
Because I am a writer who still thinks and feels like a child, I can consistently bring stories from that world.

The residents of Refrigerator Village, created by author Yoon Jeong-ju, that is, the Frozen Friends, are extremely friendly to children.
Sometimes it's Dad, sometimes the curious eggs, and sometimes the seagulls who put their heart and soul into cleaning up the mess, so the children won't be disappointed.

In the previous works, 『Frozen Zombie』 and 『Frozen Ice Cream』, the story had slightly crossed over to the Frozen Friends' own league(?), but in this book, 『Frozen Camping』, it has returned to the world where Frozen Friends love and cherish children with all their hearts.
The author hopes that the children reading this book will still believe without a doubt that the whole world cherishes and loves them, and that even within the world he has created, they will receive sufficient hospitality and affection. So, even today, the author breathes warmth into this cold refrigerator world.

The "Kongkongkong" series, which began with author Yoon Jeong-ju's first original picture book, "Kongkongkong," has now reached its fifth story.
It is perhaps only natural that his previous work, "Frozen Ice Cream," was selected as one of the 30 "Best Books in Korea" at the 2023 Seoul International Book Fair, and among them, as one of the 10 "Most Enjoyable Books in Korea," a children's book award.
