The story of Jesus that Charles Dickens wanted to tell his beloved children.

Includes 70 illustrations by artist Lee Han-na
A book Dickens wrote to introduce Jesus to his children.
Charles Dickens wrote this book to introduce Jesus to his beloved children.
He loved Jesus and wanted to tell his children about the good and beautiful things He had done.
He focused on what Jesus did.
He chose mainly the Gospel of Luke, and inserted events from the Gospels of Matthew, Mark, and John throughout the book.
Just as two thousand years ago when Jesus was doing his ministry, many stories about him are still floating around today.
If you want to know Jesus properly, you must read the Bible.
However, it is not easy for non-believers, children, teenagers, new believers, and the elderly to read and understand the Bible.
Because there are difficult words and expressions everywhere.
This book is written in an easy-to-read format so that even children can read it easily.
It has such a strong suction power that once you hold it in your hand, it's hard to put it down.
Just as Dickens wrote this book with the hope that children would know Jesus above all else, this book was also written with the intention of making it easy for people of all ages to know Jesus.
This book consists of 11 short stories, from the birth of Jesus to the apostles' preaching.
70 beautiful illustrations and stories based on the Bible
Dickens' original novel contains some slight differences from the biblical narrative.
However, since the essence is to tell the story of Jesus' life, the content of this book has been revised based on the Bible.
And I also explained a little more about Jesus as the King of Kings, that is, as the Savior.
This book also includes 70 beautiful and graceful illustrations by artist Lee Han-na, which are selected from those published in the cutie magazine 『Life of Life』 over the past 10 years.
We can also meditate on the love and life of Jesus through beautiful illustrations.
It is easy to read and edit, making it perfect for gifting.

Into the book
My precious and lovely child,
I desperately want you to know the story of Jesus Christ.
He is a person who loves all people in the world endlessly.
There is no one in this world as good, kind, and gentle as him.
He has compassion on the sick, the suffering, and even on those who have done wrong.
Jesus is in heaven now.
Heaven is said to be the place we go after we die.
In heaven we will meet again and live happily ever after.
If you know who Jesus is and what he did, you can imagine how wonderful heaven will be.
--- p.14~15
When the wise men went in, they saw a beautiful child with his mother Mary.
They presented gifts to baby Jesus, prepared with all their heart and soul.
The wise men did not stop by Herod on their way home.
Because they knew that Herod was burning with jealousy.
An angel of the Lord appeared to Joseph and Mary and said,
“Take the baby and go to Egypt.
Herod wants to kill the baby.”
--- p.21
Jesus was deeply moved when he saw his mother weeping endlessly.
So he went to his mother and said this.
“Don’t cry.”
The funeral procession stopped for a moment at Jesus' words.
Jesus touched the young man and said,
“Young man, arise!”
The young man who had been lying down then sat up. He even spoke.
Jesus sent the young man to his mother.
How astonished and joyful the mother must have been when her dead son came back to life! Everyone who was watching praised God.
Meanwhile, Jesus quietly left the place.
--- p.50
Jesus said to his disciples:
“I have to go to Jerusalem.
You will suffer a lot there and eventually die.
But on the third day after I die, I will rise again and ascend into heaven.
There I will sit at the right hand of God and ask God to forgive sinners.”
--- p.71
Jesus spoke softly.
“Where are those who accused you?”
The woman answered tremblingly.
“Lord, there is no one.”
Then Jesus said,
“I will not condemn you either.
Go away.
And do not sin again.”
--- p.84~85
Then Lazarus, who had been lying in the tomb, got up and walked on two feet and came out to the people.
Then Martha and Mary returned home.
Isn't it truly amazing and moving? Many who witnessed the miracle believed that Jesus was truly the Son of God.
That he is the one who came to save the world.
--- p.108
It was around 12 o'clock in the afternoon.
The sky became covered in darkness and remained dark until 3 p.m.
Jesus cried out with a loud voice.
“My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?”
Jesus said as it is written in the Bible.
“I am thirsty.” (Psalm 69:21)
One of the soldiers nearby heard this sound.
Soon they soaked a cotton-like sponge in wine vinegar, put it on a stick, and held it up to Jesus' mouth.
Jesus moistened his dry lips and said,
--- p.145~146
When Jesus spoke, the disciples were afraid, thinking he was a ghost.
Jesus showed them his hands and feet.
And to prove that Jesus was alive, he ate a piece of broiled fish.
Thomas wasn't there that day.
Even when the other disciples said, “We have seen the Lord!” Thomas did not believe it.
Thomas said this.
“Unless I see the nail marks in his hands and put my finger where the nails were and put my hand into his side, I will not believe!”
