Why faith?
Description
Book Introduction
Will the Lord really say that he knows me?
I examine my faith by observing the footsteps of believers in the Bible.
We often get confused between the assurance of faith and the faith that abides in Jesus.
“Is my faith true?” “When I see Jesus, will He truly know me?” On the journey of faith, doubts and concerns that suddenly arise often cause me to pause for a moment.
This book makes me reflect on my own faith by examining the footsteps of believers in the Bible, such as Abraham, Job, and Elijah.
The Bible guides people of faith by setting them up like milestones in various places.
It's as if they're guiding us by saying, "If you follow these people, you can successfully finish the race of faith."
Heroes of faith are not the special people the world thinks they are.
These are people who have lived out the right faith and the correct belief.
God has accomplished the work of salvation through their faith.
Today, the world is increasingly falling into chaos and emptiness.
Faith in this age is becoming more and more ambiguous by the day.
In these turbulent times, it is crucial to reflect on the true path of faith and examine whether we have the right faith.
And this book is useful for those who worry that they cannot see the beam in their own eye and are trying to remove the speck in someone else's eye.
Now is the time to look back at my own faith, not someone else's.

Into the book
Faith is looking only to God when there is nothing left to protect you.
May Abraham's turbulent life be a comfort to us.
Our faith has never been great from the beginning.
God creates faith.
In the process, faith grows.
--- p.17
Everyone who is called to faith faces a defining moment.
You will experience a heartbreaking event where all the protective layers that protected you are stripped away, and you will experience a breakup with the person you trusted the most.
But we must trust that God will use this to shape our faith, just as He did with Abraham, the father of faith.
So, look forward to it.
Rejoice, for great events await you.
The moment you decide to cut off everything that you have put before God, God does not take it away from you, but rather allows you to enjoy it.
--- p.20~21
Where is faith? It is humility before God and not leaving one's place.
Faith is knowing God the Creator and knowing that you are a creation.
--- p.62
When one encounters God, one's life no longer remains in the personal realm, but is incorporated into God's grand story.
You will live a life in a different dimension than you could have ever imagined before.
--- p.70
There are things that anyone walking the path of faith must check.
It is the very center of the mind.
Because faith must begin from this center.
Before making any decision or taking any action, I need to examine where my center is directed.
If the center is off, everything is just an illusion.
In other words, a life of faith is a life of examining the center of the heart, that is, one's motives.
What do you pray for? What do you struggle for? What is the cornerstone upon which Jesus establishes the kingdom of God on earth? They are people called from the world, yet firmly centered on God.
It is from these that the kingdom of God begins.
--- p.91~92
What should we pray for in faith? Essentially, it should be a prayer for the forgiveness of sins.
But we cannot receive forgiveness of sins through our own strength.
Jesus promised to send the Holy Spirit as a guarantee of forgiveness of sins, so when the Holy Spirit comes into us, we receive the seal of forgiveness of sins.
So, no matter how much it hurts or how difficult it is, when you pray to the Lord, say, “Please free me from my sins.
Free me from sin.
Set me free in the truth.
May my knowledge of Jesus grow more and more.
We must ask, “May grace and truth be more abundant.”
This is the way to become a Christian and the true faith of a Christian.
--- p.145~146
Faith and pride are inversely proportional.
True faith is letting go of pride.
No, it's about forgetting.
--- p.182
There is a definite difference between a person who lives by faith and a person who lives by his own ability, reason, and common sense.
A person who lives by faith can be said to live a life of Coram Deo (Deo) because he or she is always conscious of God.
They speak as if they were speaking before God, and they act as if they were acting before God.
