God's Character Lessons
Description
Book Introduction
Why are people so crazy about MBTI?
Christian character analysis is for 'rebirth'!
Christians and non-Christians alike are all enthusiastic about personality tests.
It can also be said to be a spiritual longing to find one's own identity, to know who one is and what kind of being one is.
The same is true in relationships with people.
In a world that is constantly changing, we study each other's personalities diligently to build relationships based on the essential things that do not change.
But, I see cases where the result actually strengthens one's 'self-righteousness'.
“That’s just my personality”, “It can’t be helped because that’s my temperament”, “You can’t do it because you’re the OO type”.
They may feel inferior to others and feel inferior about their personality.
Both of them do not know how to discover the temperament given by God and be reborn.
The 'God's Character Lesson' this book talks about is different.
Because the core lies in ‘rebirth.’
The Bible tells us that we have a temperament given to us from birth.
Esau was an outgoing countryman, while Jacob was quiet and stayed at home.
In this way, temperament is like a raw stone given to each person, something that can be discovered, but God does not want us to stop at mere discovery and analysis.
He hopes that by welcoming God and being born again, his personality will also be reborn.
It is a complete re-examination of my own character through the character that Jesus showed us.
As my personality is reborn, I realize how I have been using my personality as an excuse to block my relationship with God.
If you discover that you have been living with a false sense of inferiority, comparing yourself to others and blocking out the blessings God gives, it is possible to recover the confidence that comes from God.
Ultimately, when I encounter the character of Jesus, who came down to this earth because He loved us, all my character weaknesses can be made whole.

Into the book
The core of God's character lessons is 'being born again'.
God doesn't ask us to stop at analyzing our character.
He says that our character must be reborn.
What is rebirth? It is being spiritually reborn before God.
Personality also needs to be reborn.
It means that we need to realize that our personalities are also corrupted and tainted by sin, and that we need to completely reexamine our own personalities through the character Jesus showed us.
--- p.20, from “Introduction”
Ultimately, through this book, I want to introduce you to a person with a good personality.
As you read this book, you will encounter Jesus, who created our character and demonstrated its perfection through the process of analyzing your own character.
Our character can ultimately be reborn and used when we meet Jesus, who has revealed to us His most perfect character.
As you ponder where your personality comes from, I hope you will encounter the character of the One who loved you the most and came down from heaven to earth.
While I ponder how my personality can be used, I hope that you first encounter His perfect character, who humbled Himself to suit people of various personalities.
All the personality problems I struggle with will be solved when I meet Jesus, who has a perfect personality.
--- p.22-23, from “Introduction”
One area where introverts need to improve is their expectations of relationships.
When they are reborn, they begin to see that “good things come from relationships.”
Just because you meet someone doesn't mean you'll always get hurt.
We must expect that God's good work will come through us.
--- p.66, from “The Rebirth of Introversion (I): Expecting Good Things in Relationships”
To this rich young man who was thirsting for something new, Jesus did not recommend a new travel destination or hobby.
The only way he could be renewed was through the new obedience I had been turning away from.
(…) Don’t blindly follow the trends of this era just to try something a little new.
New things are never created as trends.
My new life can only come about through my new obedience.
--- p.103, from “The Rebirth of the Sensing Type (S): The Principles of Trying New Things”
Some people say they don't know what makes Christianity different from other religions.
Some people say that they won't know the difference until they read the Bible.
Whenever I meet such people, I feel like introducing them to the ‘God who doesn’t know what to do.’
In no scripture of the world is there recorded a God who is so helpless as to be unable to give up his love for humans who have rebelled against him and committed sins against him.
--- p.129, from “Jesus Cried Loudly After Crying Out Loudly”
Let's apply this to people with a thinking style. I thought my life would be ruined if things didn't go my way, according to my logic and principles.
But Jesus took that plan that was in jeopardy to the cross.
Then there is hope.
Grace comes even where things don't go according to plan.
--- p.157, from “The Rebirth of the Thinking Type (T): A Person Who Loves But Is Too Cold”
The Gift Judging Type Gives Perceiving Types 2: Change
People with the Perceiving type are far from steady, planned, and consistent.
For these people, change itself is the driving force behind their lives.
So, even if it's the same work or daily routine, try planning sudden events that bring about minor changes here and there.
At such times, the fruits of life for people of the cognitive type can be more abundant.
--- p.187, from "Ask a question first vs. Push ahead"
"If Plan A doesn't work, then Plan B!" The Judging Type
God has gifted the judgmental person with the ability to prioritize.
For those who want things to go as planned, let's prepare a gift called 'Questions and Alarms' for a controlled environment.
Their rebirth, when they feel they have failed when their plans are disrupted, is a belief that God's plan can work anew even in the midst of plans that have been disrupted and frustrated.
Even if our missionary plans change, let us believe, like Paul, that there is goodness in the process of moving toward our goal.
"Plans changed? I'm glad!" The Perceptive Type
God has gifted the cognitive type with the ability to see risk as opportunity.
For the cognitive type who likes new things, let's give them the gift of 'breakfast and change'.
The rebirth of the cognitive type, which dislikes control and formalized goals, is to recognize that conflict is also included in freedom.
In God, let us believe that we will not be robbed of the joy of life despite the pressures and burdens.

Publisher's Review
Temperament… a gift given to me, and a gift to you.
How is this possible?
“Realizing that the uniqueness of my personality can bring joy to someone else brings new passion and anticipation to life.”_From the text
A regenerated personality also brings about the restoration of true relationships with one's neighbors.
Because I use my temperament for the benefit of others, not myself.
How can I use my temperament as a "gift" to others? This book uses the MBTI as a tool to explain.
After examining the talents given to each type by dividing them into introversion and extroversion, intuition and sensation, thinking and feeling, and judgment and perception, we find a 'gift' that can be given to the other person using those strengths.
For example, born-again extroverts now use their extroversion not for their own satisfaction and joy, but to heal their own loneliness and bring joy to themselves.
Feeling types can gift their partners with rich "emotional packaging" that makes events shine and matter more.
Just like when Jesus raised Lazarus from the dead.
"God's Personality Class" takes the familiar analysis tool called MBTI and applies it to our lives and to examples from the Bible.
It includes a Christian version of the 'MBTI Test' and a 'One-point lesson' that summarizes each chapter and discusses concerns about real-life relationships.
When we cultivate the raw stone and become a jewel, we will be used by Him who has a perfect character.
This book will serve as that guide.
Features of this book
* Intuitive analysis of the four MBTI categories and eight total types.
* Easy to apply to anyone through various examples and biblical cases
* Includes 'Christian MBTI Test' and 'God's Personality Class One-point Lesson'!
I recommend it!
* People who are concerned about their personality, such as, "Why am I so passive?" or "Why am I so unplanned?"
* People who have difficulties in interpersonal relationships with people of different personalities in their family, company, or church community
* A Christian who wants to use his or her talents to help others and be a role model
