If you don't change now, there will be no tomorrow.
Description
Book Introduction
“We can’t just sit here like this!”
If left alone, it will deteriorate, and if left unattended, it will die.
Decide to change before it's too late
Calling for change in the face of a crisis of change
Pastor Lee Chan-su's concrete alternative
No matter what we do, the moment we deviate from our original intention, we tend to lose our 'essence'.
And the moment that essence is lost, ‘deterioration’ occurs quickly.
People and churches are both beings that change over time.
The author, observing the reality of the church gradually losing its essence, felt a sense of crisis that the Korean church and its believers might end up becoming museum churches that have lost their vitality.
This sense of crisis has grown even more as we see Bundang Woori Church showing signs of crisis in all areas of its ministry, especially after the movement to send out missionaries to Japan.
So, the author, with a sense of urgency, presented eight alternatives found in the Word to both the church and the congregation to overcome this crisis together.
If you become complacent with reality, the risk of change only increases.
As we are renewed as soldiers of Christ with a thirst for God, the church will become dynamic once again.
If left alone, it will deteriorate, and if left unattended, it will die.

Into the book
Rather than boasting about how many years we have believed in Jesus or what position we have held in the church, we should examine whether we are currently held by the love of Christ and by the words of Christ.
That should be our pride.
--- p.19
So let us immerse ourselves in the Lord's love.
Let us be captivated by the love of the cross.
And let us restore the essence with that immersive love of the cross.
--- p.28
We do not read the Bible for knowledge or intellectual curiosity.
The reason God gave us the words of the Bible is because He wants us to change our thoughts through those words, and then, through those changed thoughts, change our actions.
--- p.34
I believe that when our faith turns into a faith that works, and when each and every one of us receives the guidance of the Word, the amazing grace of God that shakes off spiritual lethargy will overflow for all.
--- p.50
We must gather together and pray, longing for warm grace.
It is about sharing prayer requests with one another before God, revealing our pain and sorrow, and dreaming together.
When we strive to gather like that, God's power to prevent corruption is revealed.
--- p.61
The focus should not be on whether or not the time is blessed, but rather on worship as an act of ‘taking time out to offer to God.’
If you give it to God, it is up to God whether it becomes a blessing or not.
We just put our heart and soul into gathering together.
--- p.66
If we are beings with souls, it is normal to feel soul thirst.
But the era we live in today is one in which it is difficult to feel the thirst of the soul.
We have become an age in which we cannot endure the thirst and hunger of the body, but are insensitive to the hunger of the soul.
--- p.79
Let us experience restoration in the presence of God.
I believe that this kind of restoration will come to all of us as we gather before God with spiritual longing and stand as worshippers.
--- p.94
I want us all to stop our foolish attempts to bloom and live fruitful lives.
I hope that we all bear the fruit of a beautiful personality.
--- p.105
Let us live a life where Jesus Christ comes first.
Let us live a life that gives glory to Him as our top priority.
If you live like this, there will be no confusion in life.
A person with these standards can never fall into vain pleasures or addictions.
--- p.129
In the wilderness of suffering, we must look to Jesus Christ who carried the cross.
I must remember that I was healed through His suffering, and I must think of God's grace that heals the pain that has befallen me now.
--- p.145
Let's take an honest look at our lives.
Who is providing the world with an excuse to misunderstand us? When Christians live by worldly values, the world notices.
And our Lord knows.
We must honestly look back at ourselves from this perspective.
--- p.169
To maintain holiness, we must constantly draw a line between ourselves and the values of the world.
Because we live in this world, we cannot live in a pollution-free state, completely unaffected by the world's values, but we must constantly strive to draw the line.
--- p.175
The joy of the Lord is our strength.
With that power, let us resolve to become spiritually young soldiers again.
Let us resolve to break free from self-pity and defeatism and become strong soldiers.
And above all, let us acknowledge that the source of that strength is not in us, but in God.
--- p.203
What is important is that this ‘incomprehensible guidance’ of God continues in our lives as well.
There is no explanation as to why this should be so.
Even if you explain it to me, I still can't understand everything.
How can we know or stop the God who created the universe from leading us toward the big picture?
--- p.212
I hope we all are happy in God.
To do that, you must know how to submit to God.
We must also communicate with God.
If I think I should go this way and God says I should go that way, I cannot be happy unless I narrow that conflict.
--- p.213
That is why, before we encounter the storm like Jonah, we must obey God's will and entrust our lives to His will.
I hope that we will live as God's wind leads us, surrendering ourselves to the waves that God has permitted, and submitting to God's will that connects eternity to eternity.
--- p.218
Let us entrust ourselves completely to His guidance.
God will lead us to a new path that He has given us.
I hope that there will be more believers with this kind of healthy and mature attitude toward life.
If there are many mature believers like this, the church will naturally become a healthy church.
That should be our pride.

Publisher's Review
Now is the time to start making changes.
As long as God leads us, there is still hope for us.
It is a terrible thing for a church to lose sight of its God-given mission and become obsessed with maintaining the status quo.
So, we looked at eight alternatives to prevent our churches from becoming museum churches.
I know very well.
Obedience to God's guidance, symbolized by the pillar of cloud and the pillar of fire, is like a holy blanket that wraps these eight alternatives.
Therefore, we must remember that even if we follow all of these alternatives, we can never become a healthy church if we do not trust in God's guidance and do not accept His guidance.
God is the one who makes great paths.
And God accomplishes this through those who believe in and follow Him, who creates a great path.
Just as water flows from above to below, we simply have to entrust our lives to God's guidance as He creates a great path.
Let us entrust our lives to the waves that God leads us to.
Let us live as God's wind leads, surrendering ourselves to the waves that God has permitted, and submitting to God's will that connects eternity to eternity.
