Into the book
Nowadays, there are so many spaces where people can express their opinions through writing and video that it can be said that 'everyone is a creator'.
There is also a growing number of people who want to share their thoughts.
However, it is also true that many people complain, saying, "I don't know what to write" or "It's difficult to write consistently."
There are already many books that teach you 'how to write'.
But I think this.
If you don't like writing anyway, wouldn't it be useless to know how to do it?
Of course, grammar is also important.
But I think the desire to write is more important.
The short diary I started writing during the 10 minutes I was bored on my way home from the subway station has made me who I am today.
I often hear people say, “Isn’t it hard to write every day?” But actually, it’s not hard.
The secret is that I made it a habit to not lose the desire to write.
This is by no means a special ability.
You only need to learn a very small skill.
I've included that technique in this book.
--- p.15~16

The same goes for writing to show someone.
The moment you think other people are reading, you start to sit down and spout off some nice words.
Even if you don't intend to, you end up with a perfectly made-up, ready-to-go face.
Even though I thought to myself, “That teacher is really weird,” I told people, “That teacher’s speech is a bit like that.
It is often said softly, such as, “He is a good person.”
The writing that people find truly entertaining isn't just a bunch of pretty words, but writing that conveys genuine emotions.
I find it touching and interesting because I think it's a real emotion.
--- p.37~38

There's no need to be greedy from the start.
Start with something that doesn't require much effort, even if it's just a little.
If you've decided to read a certain number of books a month, instead of setting aside time to read, pick up a book instead of your smartphone on your commute.
10 minutes a day, but an hour a week.
During that time, knowledge gradually accumulates within me.
--- p.57

We've talked about 'building habits' in various ways so far, but for those who find it difficult to start something, the best way is to 'just start' something.
In my experience, I haven't been able to start something I thought I would do once my current job becomes more stable.
Even if things stabilize later, other things come up or passion cools down, so it ends up getting put on the back burner.
So, the thought, ‘I have to do it tomorrow’ is useless.
--- p.89

But I think it's fundamental to writing to be very careful not to hurt anyone.
Once you've finished writing, take a step back and read it again from the beginning, asking yourself, "Is this really okay?"
Just doing this will improve your ability to choose words.

Best of Amazon Japan!
Let's write real things for ourselves, not just for exams.
You can never learn this from a book that teaches you how to write.
How to Become a Joyful Writer

Becoming familiar with writing can help you overcome your fear of writing.

The importance of writing and argumentation has been emphasized for a long time.
And now, in an era where we express ourselves through writing on social media and various platforms, we write on a daily basis, whether short or long.
Yet, many people find writing difficult and fearful.
The reasons are varied.
Because I don't have time, because I don't have enough vocabulary, because I'm not good at writing, because I have nothing to write, because I don't know how to end it, because I'm afraid others will laugh at me...
The author believes that all of these are the result of being blocked by various theories and perfectionism that say, "writing should be done this way or that way," and emphasizes that writing is not that difficult or special.
“A perfectionist is simply an imperfect person who strives for perfection.
“Is there such a thing as ‘perfection’ in the first place?” Also, “Writing skills are a very ambiguous term in the first place.
It means 'the talent to write sentences skillfully', but I don't know to what extent 'skillfully' is meant.
However, he urges people not to obsess over writing skills or talent, saying, “It would be a shame if you were to be caught up in those words and not be able to write.”

The author also has never studied writing professionally.
But I was able to continue writing because I valued the desire to write more than grammar or writing, and now I live as a journalist who deals with writing.
The author began pouring out his depressed feelings on his blog during his teenage years, and through his writing, he was able to escape the prison of depression by communicating with people.
And since I discovered the life-saving power of writing, I have tried many different things to continue living as a writer.
Those attempts are fully contained in this book.

"The Habit of Writing" awakens the love of writing in people who are trapped in the fantasy of well-written writing and exam-reading techniques, and who are unable to write in their own way. It also presents specific methods for becoming a joyful writer.

-Write my story.
-Write about what you like.
-Not bound by rules.
-If you feel like saying 'Wow~', don't embellish it and just write it as it is.
-Remember that it is up to the reader to give meaning to the text.
-Remember that writing by hand increases your achievement rate by 42 percent.
-I try to write easily.
-Finish it your way.

Habits are powerful
If you make it a habit to use it, you will be able to continue using it.

As the author has been writing consistently, he has learned that the desire to write comes before the skill of writing, and that in order to not lose that desire, he needs to develop some tricks to develop the habit of writing consistently.
“One of the reasons I can’t write is because I don’t have a writing habit.
If you have to put in all your effort and force every time you write, it will drain your energy tremendously.
To avoid this, it's important to make writing a part of your daily life."
Habits are powerful.
It's hard to form a habit, but once it's ingrained, it has the power to change your life.
This book introduces the 'technique of developing a habit of continuing to write' to help those who have been forced to write or who always feel small in front of writing become familiar with writing and feel the desire to write.
Here are a few: 'Create an environment where you can write right away,' 'Declare that you will write,' 'Think, 'Let's just do it for 5 minutes!', and 'Find someone to join you in creating a habit.'
Although they may seem small, these are powerful techniques that can make writing a daily routine if you just make them a habit.
Of course, when creating a new habit, resistance follows.
The author has also experienced this, so he suggests various factors that hinder the formation of a writing habit and solutions to them.
If you follow the solutions the author suggests, such as 'How to create an environment where you can write as soon as an idea comes to you,' 'How to find time to write every day,' 'Tips for not giving up after three days,' 'Secrets to finding writing inspiration even on ordinary days,' and 'How to use Twitter to learn how to write enjoyably,' you will realize that creating a writing habit is not as difficult as you thought.

Even if it's clumsy, the one who uses it eventually wins.
A book that gives you the courage to write!

This book is written in a way that is as accessible, friendly, and encouraging as possible for readers who want to write but are hesitant.
The book consists of six chapters, focusing on how to become familiar with writing, how to make writing a habit, how to keep writing, how to properly communicate with readers, how to write widely, and how to encourage myself through writing.
And each chapter features a fun cartoon that encourages writing and resonates with readers.
At the end of each chapter, a short summary is included to help you see the book's contents at a glance.

For readers who need to review or want to see a summary of the content after reading the book, a summary of the main text is included at the back of the book under the title, “52 Techniques for Creating a Writing Habit.”
Additionally, we proposed a 'One Month Challenge to Create a Writing Habit' to help readers develop a writing habit more easily.
If you write every day according to the '30 Writing Topics for Today' presented at the end, after a month, you will feel a sense of accomplishment for having accomplished something, the confidence that you can write consistently, and you will be able to experience the power of writing that the author experienced.
