Where is your heart?
Description
Book Introduction
From popular star instructor to billionaire donor Hyun Seung-won (Chairman of Dishar)'s Life of Storing Treasures in Heaven Chairman Hyun Seung-won, who was known as the popular star instructor 'Teacher John', became the chairman of an education company with a corporate value of 300 billion won just 9 years after founding the company. This was based on thorough religious education at home during childhood (serving and supporting missionaries) and excellent financial training (managing bankbooks and keeping allowance records). This book contains God's unique and surprising guidance for him as he became a successful businessman, and the process of establishing him as a perfect steward and manager as he ran with a single-minded determination toward his dream. He also shares the joy of accumulating treasures in heaven by adhering to the steward's financial principles and donating 10 billion won to NGOs and sponsoring over 2,000 children every month. |

Into the book
From Star English Instructor
Become a CEO who donates 10 billion won!
By chance, I had the opportunity to check the amount of money I had donated.
It was about 10 billion.
Honestly, I didn't know it would be this bad.
Again, money and success depend on God's sovereignty.
I realized that living according to His heart is the source of all happiness.
I said on the spot, 'The Lord within me is the greatest blessing.'
I have uploaded a confession.
God gives us the blessings we need at any time.
But we always complain that it is not enough and ask for more.
'God, please give me more money.
'Give me greater honor, greater power, and greater talent!'
The God I experienced lacked power
There is no one who cannot give these things.
He is the one who gives so much that he has more to give.
But before we can receive, we must first answer God's question.
'Can you still be intimate with me if you accept that?
If you have more money, you can do many things.
Will you still rely on me?
Even if you had power, authority, and fame, would you still follow me as you do now?'
It's like a lover saying, "If I accept your heart,
As if asking, “Can you love me like this?”
When God asks us, we must have something to say.
--- From the text
My life has had its ups and downs too.
There were times when the business was good and times when it wasn't.
But God, who is always the same, wanted me to not be swayed by circumstances, but to do His will only with faith.
God taught me early on to realize the value of a life of giving and sharing.
He also taught us that material things are not to be held on to, but to be let go, and that we should willingly give our material things and hearts out of faith, not according to our circumstances.
--- p.51
'Will you gladly take on the role of the person entrusted to you, even if it breaks your heart a little?'
I was humbled by his gentle request.
When I did good to someone and provided material goods, if they didn't appreciate it, I honestly didn't want to help them anymore.
But I realized that it was the Lord, my provider, who was upset, not me.
--- p.167
That night, my wife and I cried together, thinking about the grace God had bestowed upon us.
My letting go training isn't over yet.
I am constantly training myself to be someone who can immediately let go when God tells me to.
…it may be scary for a moment, but I know that obedience is the path to true blessing.
So today, I relax my hands and entrust my life to His gentle guidance.
--- p.187
The world tries to bind us into slavery to Mammon by presenting loans as easy and natural through the media.
But we are only stewards who manage money according to God's will, under His guidance.
Therefore, rather than living a life dragged down by debt through excessive investment, we should live a life of self-sufficiency within our means.
Let's establish strict principles regarding debt and do our best to pay off our debt.
Even if I have to starve!
--- p.212
I retired from the front lines of management at the age of 36, an age when I could have easily tried something new.
When I was young, I wanted to be a missionary or a pastor, and ever since I was preparing for the college entrance exam, I dreamed of becoming a star lecturer, but things never turned out the way I envisioned.
…God led me on a new and wonderful path beyond my imagination.
My life has been going entirely according to His plan.
Looking back, the place where 'I' had disappeared was filled with 'him'.

Publisher's Review
My heart is like this now
Is it directed at me?
Are you facing the Lord?
Our Lord is the one who makes a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.
A person who has the 'strong belief' that the Lord will somehow save him will not die even if he is thrown into a desert or a river.
If you obey His voice and follow Him, you will find the Lord's oasis.
When I'm faced with a decision, big or small, I make it within an hour or two.
Even life-changing decisions are made in a hurry.
I can't drag it out, wondering, 'Is this right? Is that good?'
Because we know what is most important when making decisions.
I always pray before making a big decision.
Then God asks, 'Where is your heart and center?'
Whatever choice I make, I realize that the most important thing is to examine whether my heart is centered on the Lord or on myself, and whether I love God and am honest before Him.
