I have no blessing outside of you.
Description
Book Introduction
The Lord in me is my only blessing. “There is no blessing for me outside of the Lord” is the first book in Pastor Yoo Ki-seong’s Psalm commentary series. The Psalms are a diary containing the confessions of David and the psalmist as they walked with God. The Psalms, which feature people who knew and had a deep relationship with God, open Christians' eyes to how to fellowship with the Lord in order to walk intimately with Him. The 16 Psalm sermons included in Volume 1 of the series help us examine our faith, become more intimate with God, and spend time walking with Jesus. It is helpful to those who wish to walk with Jesus in their daily lives, those who are spiritually stagnant and in a slump in their faith, and those who wish to experience the Lord with them more deeply. |

Intimate companionship with Jesus
A Journey Through the Psalms for a Deeper Experience
The Psalms were David's diary of his daily walk with God!
The year I started writing the Jesus Journal was 2010.
I wanted to experience a deeper, more intimate walk with Jesus and share only that.
As I meditate on the numerous psalms of David, I realize that each one is a diary he wrote.
As we write our Jesus Journal and look back on the past day, we realize that the Lord was teaching and instructing us, and so did David.
There are so many things I have realized and received through the Psalms of David.
The grace that can only be felt by those who have close communion with God is so abundantly revealed.
I dare not say that I have become like David, but I have never felt David's heart so deeply.
That was because David's Psalms were a diary of his daily walk with God.
--- From the "Prologue"
God has blessed us.
He gave it all to us in our hearts.
Do you have this heart within you? I believe we all do.
That's a blessing.
We must consider blessings as blessings.
When your eyes open to see blessings as blessings, you will be able to grasp them and say, 'This is the way to live!'
--- p.26
Only by having a relationship with Jesus can we become overcomers of the world.
That is what it means to have a living fellowship with Jesus.
This is the image of a person who lives in a relationship where the Lord is truly within him, he loves the Lord, and the Lord loves him.
…So how can we have an intimate relationship with Jesus, as if we were kissing him? It's through spiritual worship.
--- pp.38,39
Our faith must be based on truth.
Even though circumstances and feelings change countless times, the truth remains unchanged.
“God loved me so much that he gave his one and only Son, and Jesus died for me and my old self died with him, and Jesus is in me and Jesus is my life, and God is good and has a wonderful plan for me.” This is the eternal truth.
--- p.55
Many Christians wash their bodies before going to bed, but go to bed without repenting of their sins.
Because they do not know that washing away sins is more important than washing the body.
The Apostle John said that if we repent, we will be forgiven of our sins and cleansed from unrighteousness.
--- p.71
My friends, if we live without any thought of Jesus, if our hearts are hardened by the world and sin, if we have strange thoughts and are secretly enslaved to sin, we must pray to God right now with a sense of crisis, as if we are about to fall into eternal destruction.
Then God will surely work and save you.
--- p.91
The gospel is that Jesus lives in your heart.
We are never alone.
You are never alone, no matter what the circumstances.
So, look to Jesus 24 hours a day.
Try checking it by writing it in a diary every day.
Only when we believe that Jesus lives in us do we cease to fear the world.
--- p.108
Do you find that people around you are not changing? Are they causing you distress? If so, don't blame them. Instead, examine yourself to see if you are truly fixated on Jesus.
You must examine yourself to see if you are giving yourself completely to the Lord so that He can meet you through you.
--- p.147
Folks, looking to Jesus 24 hours a day doesn't mean just meditating on Him all day long.
As we live, we encounter all kinds of moments.
There are good times, difficult times, breathtaking times, and daunting times.
But to look to Jesus 24 hours a day means, “Remember Jesus in your heart at all times,” “Always think of the Lord.”
--- p.189
Please do not argue at all.
David was surrounded by people who opposed God, but he did not argue with them.
He only prayed to God, believed the word He gave him, and lived according to God's word.
--- p.226
We must know that we are living witnesses of God to those around us.
Because we live with the Lord within us.
Therefore, please look only to Jesus.
I bless you to make it your life's purpose to know God, believe in God, and fellowship with God, thus becoming a person who testifies to God.
