Book Introduction
“I will run to the end of the path you told me to take!!” Even if you get tired and hesitate for a moment, or make a mistake and fall, don't give up. The faithful God holds on to us and waits for us until the end. Gain strength to run from David, who beautifully completed God's path. I recommend this book to those who desire to complete the path of mission God has called them to, those who desire to always keep their center completely before God as people after God's own heart, those who wish to renew their passion for the path of faith, and those who have worked hard but are now hesitating when they think, "Now is the time." |

Into the book
God, our faithful God, holds firmly to those who run to the end! I have one wish.
It's about finishing it to the end.
I am 'passing' until the very last moment to God who called me when I was still young.
Although I am still lacking and weak, and sometimes I stumble and make mistakes, I want to run this race of faith to the final destination.
Completing the race of faith is a beautiful challenge that I can dare to dream of, not because I am perfect, but because He who called me is faithful.
If only I could hold on to that which I absolutely must not lose, even amidst the merciless ups and downs of the world and the indiscriminate changes of time.
---From the "Prologue"
Even if the motivations are different, the outward appearances can appear similar.
Whether a person is motivated by God or by himself, both come to worship, cry, praise, receive grace, and return home.
Some people prepare for short-term mission trips with God's heart in mind, while others think, 'I had a worthwhile vacation.'
Many people confess that they have worshipped, served, and dedicated themselves to the Lord, but when we examine their motives, we find that they are often seeking to secure a reason for their existence.
The motive of these people is not the Lord.
The center is wrong.
Therefore, he is not a person who is after God's heart.
David had the center that God was looking for.
Every step of my life was driven by a perfect motivation.
Sometimes I stumbled, made mistakes, and misjudged things, but my fundamental motivations for life were always right.
He was always looking to God.
--- p.28
What kind of life are you living? Are you running toward the glorious stage you will one day stand on? Or are you enjoying the stage the Lord has given me today? The stage the Lord has given me today could be a lonely home with no one to care for me, or a job where no one pays attention to me.
If you live each day like that and come to your senses, a year has passed, and then another year has passed, and sometimes you start to wonder what life is for and how meaningless it is.
But God's purpose is for us to get to know Him more through this day, even in such a life.
Today, together with the Lord, we will create the world that God desires.
Which side are you on?
--- p.30,31
When God gives us a blessing, he entrusts us with something before giving us a blessing.
But often, to us, that happens to be a very small, trivial, insignificant thing.
At first glance, it doesn't seem like a path to success.
This is not the passage leading into the palace.
That's why so many people miss that opportunity.
--- p.53
One of the biggest lies of our time is, “God needs you!”
no.
God does not need me.
He is someone who simply values me.
God's concern is not 'what can you give me through the entrance exam?'
“God, if you send me to a good university, I will go as a missionary. I will truly serve only You.” This does not mean that He wants a confession.
This is what the Lord really wants you to know.
'Why do you want to go to college?'
God is curious about our motives.
The question is, 'Why should I bless you?'
The only way this question can be fully resolved before God in good conscience is to examine the question, "What is my relationship with God?"
It has been a long time since our fellowship with the Lord was broken, and it has been a long time since we have seen His face. To ask, "God, what will happen? Please teach me Your will," is an unscrupulous act of exploiting God.
If we truly want to become people after God's heart, restoring relationships must be our top priority.
In fact, if only this could be resolved, it would be sufficient.
--- p.136
We must definitely settle this matter before God.
What He wants is more important than what I can give.
We must pay attention to what the Lord requires, how the Lord requires, and under what circumstances the Lord requires.
--- p.167
Why did my parents divorce, why is my family so poor, why did my business fail, why was my child born with a disability, why was I struck by this disease? There are so many things that are impossible to understand without God.
But if you look at it through Jesus in God, you can understand it even if you don't understand everything.
At such times, we gain the strength to return to the path of faith and to our daily lives.
--- p.234
Jesus endured the cross “for the joy that was set before him.”
It means that He endured suffering and brought us joy.
Now it's our turn! Now is the time for us to confess our love to Him with our lives! In this chaotic world, amidst the futile years, amidst the seasons that inevitably come to life, I earnestly pray that we may wholeheartedly adore only our Lord, Jesus Christ.
…I am confident that this long and arduous journey will seem like a few days before our hearts that love the Lord.
This is the confession of a finisher!

Publisher's Review
They say God looks at the heart, but as we go through life, there are many times when we feel that our good intentions are not very important.
So how often do we feel compelled to compromise, thinking, "Everyone else is doing this, so this must be okay?" Sometimes, we even think, "My success would be good for God, too."
God speaks clearly once again through this book.
People look at the outward appearance, but God looks at the heart.
This book contains God's heart for those who wish to examine their hearts before God, who knows the motives of all our lives most accurately, and to live out the path of the mission God has given them to the end.
In particular, through the life of David, who was called 'a man after God's own heart,' it contains the kind of heart, attitude, and center that a life that God pays attention to has, and through that life, it contains the kind of heart with which we should look to God in this age.
This book will once again awaken hope in those who seek God's approval, not that of others, and who hold on to the mission God has given them as they move forward.
