Living in the wilderness
Living in the wilderness
Description
Book Introduction
The sequel to 『Reading the Wilderness』, selected for the 2017 'President's Study'!

Blessed is the life in the wilderness with God.

“There is a way in every wilderness.
Jesus Christ is the way.
“Walking with the Lord and walking closely with Him is the way to live in the wilderness.” - Yoo Ki-seong (Senior Pastor of Good Shepherd Church)

The author, who once said, “Life is not about conquering mountains, but about crossing the wilderness,” now talks about how we can cross the wilderness that lies before us.
Through the 13 wildernesses that appear in the Bible, the book suggests to readers what kind of wilderness they are walking through and how to escape it through the characters in the Bible.

Into the book
As we live, we encounter various wildernesses.
There will be those who, like Abraham, will pass through the wilderness of waiting, those who, like Moses, will pass through the wilderness of forgetfulness, and those who, like Elijah, will pass through the wilderness of spiritual stagnation.
Or, there may be those who pass through the wilderness of loss like Ruth, those who pass through the wilderness of abandonment like Hagar, and those who pass through the wilderness of burden like Paul.

Whatever wilderness we are passing through, it is not a wilderness that I am passing through alone.
It is a wilderness that the predecessors of faith have already passed through.
We too must survive in the wilderness like them.
You must endure well with faith.
We must endure well by the grace of God.
It must be formed well in the way God wants it to be.
I must fulfill God's will and purpose in bringing me into this wilderness.
Then we will go out of this wilderness.
We publish this book with the hope that the life stories of those of faith who passed through the wilderness before us will be helpful to readers who are passing through the wilderness today.

Publisher's Review
Cain, Abraham, Hagar, Joseph, Moses, the Israelites, Ruth and Naomi, David, Elijah, John the Baptist, Jesus, Paul.
They all had to swallow the bitter pill of life that was given to them.
For Christians living today, there will also be a bitter wilderness of life like Marah that God has prepared for us.
For those who are struggling to cross the wilderness with heavy breathing, this book will be like a sip of living water and the cool shade of a juniper tree a foot away.
