Into the book
1.
Creation
God existed before the beginning (1:1-2)
Long ago, there was no heaven, no earth, no world, nothing.
The story begins in eternity, before the beginning of time, when even time did not flow.
A state of silence and chaos… only deep darkness radiates a dull and thick darkness.

“I wish I could create a shining world in this empty, dark space.”
“If we create people in our image, it will become a more beautiful place.”
God decided to create the universe and all things.
God, who is love, began to create creatures, the objects of His love, with love.

Before the chaotic, empty space that had been shrouded in deep darkness was revealed to light, the Spirit of God moved.
The Spirit of God moved gently, yet with a vibrant force, warmly embracing the dark space.
God's Spirit continued to move gently yet powerfully, embracing the deep darkness, to plant and spread value, order, and fullness amidst chaos, disorder, and emptiness.

Publisher's Review
When it comes to understanding the Bible, it is better to read the Bible 10 times without understanding it.
It's much better to read the storytelling Bible once.

Immersed in the story of our lives
The Holy Story of Life and Salvation

- The storytelling Bible is a redemptive story about finding Jesus, the Messiah.
The 66 books of the Bible feature numerous characters and tell many stories.
But there is something that runs through all of these characters and stories: 'Jesus the Messiah.'
The Old Testament speaks of the 'Messiah who will come,' the New Testament speaks of the 'Messiah who came to this earth,' and the last book of the Bible, the Book of Revelation, speaks of the 'Messiah who will come again.'
The storytelling Bible never loses its flow, sharply tracing God's redemptive history through every story, event, and character.
Through 'Messiah Jesus', we sought to faithfully portray the core of what has been gradually realized in human history from Genesis to Revelation.

- The storytelling Bible is a heartwarming story of God's love.
What is the core message God wants to convey to us through the 66 books of the Bible? In a word, it is "God's love."
The Bible is a love letter that desperately reveals God's love for fallen humanity.
The storytelling Bible says, “I love you all.
Therefore, I wanted to convey the moving story of God's love: "Whoever, whatever the situation, whatever the form, anytime, come back to my loving embrace!"

- The storytelling Bible is an exciting epic of life and salvation.
The Bible contains all the joys and sorrows that everyone experiences in life, but because it mainly deals with the relationship between God and humans, detailed and realistic psychological descriptions are omitted.
As a result, it becomes difficult for readers to apply and interpret the Bible stories to their own lives unless they expand their interpretation by converting it into their own stories.
The Storytelling Bible seeks to vividly restore such psychology through devotional meditation.
The Bible is a truly magnificent and exciting epic, with over 3,000 named characters, 10 leading roles, 120 supporting roles, countless unnamed extras, 12 major background countries, and over 1,500 filming locations.
The general director of this epic drama on a grand scale is God, the director is the Holy Spirit, and the main character is the Messiah, Jesus.
The Storytelling Bible aims to remodel and build the Bible to fit the modern world, so that this gripping, entertaining, and majestic epic can be interpreted as one's own story, becoming flesh and blood.

- The Storytelling Bible is the culmination of many years of hard work.
The Storytelling Bible was born from the background of the past half-century history of the Bible Institute.
Seongseowon planned and published a modern-language Bible in 1978, and revised and supplemented it over a period of 10 years starting in 2005 to publish the Easy-to-Read Bible (2016).
I have also published various serials in numerous publications, including The Fun Bible (3 volumes) in 2013 and Songs of the Bible (6 volumes) in 2017, a collection of poems on the Bible that I have written over the past 20 years.
All of these efforts became the foundation and know-how that finally led to the storytelling Bible seeing the light of day.

- The Storytelling Bible is another Bible that everyone wants to read.
The Bible says that the words are sweeter than honey.
Yet, why is reading the Bible so difficult? Why, even after reading it with great difficulty, do we still not grasp its meaning? The Storytelling Bible ponders this question.
So, just like people these days are so addicted to their smartphones, I made it easy and fun so that once you pick it up, you can read it all night.
So, the storytelling Bible is another Bible of our time that is fun to read for people of all ages, and once you start reading, you get lost in it, and after reading, the content stays in your heart for a long time like a drama.

- The Storytelling Bible is a Team Spirit work created together.
The massive task of storytelling the Bible required a team.
I planned, organized, and checked the manuscript.
The first draft was written by Jongsu Cheon, director of the Bible Institute, who has been writing commentaries and sermons for over 30 years.
Pastor Kang Jeong-hun, a former contestant at the Chosun Ilbo New Year's Literary Contest, was in charge of solidifying the storytelling.
Proofreading and editing were done by author Yoo Young-il, proofreading by teacher Jo Seong-eun, illustrations by artist Kim Cheon-jeong, and responsibility for all content was taken by Dr. Min Yeong-jin, a living witness to the Korean Bible translation.
We gathered together and prayed, and we created one spirit.
Today, the world is becoming a spiritual wasteland, with the Word drying up.
I hope you experience green pastures and restful waters through the storytelling Bible.
I hope you experience such fervent spirituality, just as the dry bones in Ezekiel's Valley were restored to life and became God's army.
Despite numerous challenges and difficulties, I am grateful and happy to have been used in publishing the Storytelling Bible with the help of the Holy Spirit.
I am truly proud to be able to present a much-needed gift to the Korean church through my final masterpiece.
Now, standing at the sunset of life, I cannot hide my joy.
All glory to God alone.
