Into the book
Writing this book made me reflect on whether I was properly adhering to the basic principles of teaching.
A class where everyone participates, where we share effectively, and where we consistently record and reflect.
Each day is busy and hectic, and preparing for class can be arduous and difficult. However, if we keep these principles in mind and practice teaching methods one by one, I hope that today's class will be better than yesterday's, and tomorrow's class will be even better than today's.
--- From "In Conclusion"

Publisher's Review
■ Learn and have fun at the same time!
Full of practical know-how from current teachers
Almost all of the most enjoyable and beneficial class activities!

Teacher Kim Seong-gyu, who has shared methods for organizing educational settings and classrooms that “stand on their own and live together” through “Complete Mastery of Padlet” and “Class Management Starting with Picture Books,” introduces 100 class activities that combine “subject lessons” and “creative activities.”
As the author states that 'participation' and 'enjoyment' must be prioritized above all else in order to lead a class to success, this book goes beyond rigid theoretical explanations and provides step-by-step guidance on 'how' to connect each activity to the curriculum in a fun way.

First, we outline the teaching activity techniques, explain the meaning of the activity and what strategies and approaches should be applied during class, and then present a step-by-step activity sequence that anyone can easily follow.
Rather than just giving vague explanations, it describes in detail what the teacher should prepare before class, what to say during class, and how to set the direction of the class.
Above all, it adds vividness and usefulness by providing examples of teacher and children's comments.
Finally, the "Happy Kim Seong-saeng's Class Talk! Talk! " section will reveal theoretical and practical know-how to stimulate children's interest and maximize the effectiveness of classes.
By downloading the worksheet and vocabulary list through the QR code on the front cover flap and making full use of it, teachers of all levels, from beginners just taking their first steps to veterans, can create a learning environment where learning and fun coexist.

■ From the basics to advanced learning play!
Classification by topic, type, and stage
A composition that selects only the necessary parts

The book contains 10 carefully selected activities designed to 'establish a strong foundation for the class.'
Chapter 1, "Discussion and Debate Class," introduces key activities that will help students develop their thinking and communication skills by speaking and listening effectively.
If you learn step-by-step discussion techniques such as brainstorming, forum standing, and PMI discussions and enjoy sharing opinions with others, you will be able to lay the foundation for a successful class.

Chapter 2, "Question-and-Answer Activities," contains question-and-answer activities that will help you create a classroom where students actively interact.
By practicing question frameworks, question marketplaces, question treasure hunts, and question baskets, you will experience the power of questions to stimulate thinking, provide information and answers, build self-control, open your mind, and encourage listening.

Chapter 3, “Group Activities Without Free Riders,” introduces activities for cooperative learning without free riders, where no one is left out in the classroom.
Playing group games that are excellent for implementing positive interdependence and simultaneous interaction, such as window panning, group relay quizzes, and random number quizzes, will foster students' sense of responsibility and cooperation.

Chapter 4, 'Post-it Activities', is literally full of creative activities using Post-it notes.
Post-it notes, which are the most convenient teaching aid in the classroom, have the advantage of not only being able to collect and share opinions, but also being able to be freely applied to various class activities.
If you want to create a rich class activity with just basic Post-it notes without any special preparation, refer to this chapter.

Chapter 5, 'Activities for Using Wise Curriculum Materials', introduces activities that can increase students' interest and participation by using various classroom materials.
By utilizing teaching aids that are easy for anyone to use, such as image cards, emotion cards, job cards, and thinking boards, you will be able to sufficiently stimulate students' interest and emotions, thereby opening the door to a successful class.

Chapter 6, 'Using Board Games in Classrooms', contains a variety of simple board games that can be widely applied in class time.
Classes using board games, which appropriately blend elements of competition and cooperation, not only stimulate students' motivation to learn, but also foster solidarity among students.
If you refer to examples of rules that have been modified to fit each curriculum, you will be able to further maximize class efficiency.

Chapter 7, "Classroom Play that Enlivens Learning," introduces a selection of activities that are among the numerous classroom games being used in educational settings and are easy and quick to prepare, while also being applicable to a variety of subjects.
These simple, yet highly immersive games will serve as a stepping stone for everyone to enjoy participating in class, regardless of their learning level.

Chapter 8, “Adding Emotion to Classes: Literature Classes,” introduces play activities linked to literary works, a medium that softens rigid academic classes.
By continuing activities like "Speak in Color," "Mind Magnifier," and "Poetry Treasure Hunt," which focus on exploring the minds of literary characters, teachers will be able to add a warm sensibility to their classes, and students will be able to feel a deeper affection for literature.

Chapter 9, “Sharing and Dividing Effectively,” introduces games that allow you to effectively share and distribute the results of collaborative activities.
Playful activities such as group press conferences, group clock turns, gallery walks, and group quizzes, where group members take turns presenting and sharing their findings, will overcome the disadvantage of group presentations where only a small number of students participate in class, and provide equal opportunities for students.

Chapter 10, "Online Education Tools Anyone Can Use," carefully selects and introduces tools from among the numerous edutech tools introduced so far that feature simple and intuitive setup environments, features that can be used both online and offline, and usability that can be conveniently applied to any subject.
Using online tools like Padlet, Thinkerbell Board, and Flickr in the right places can enrich your classes with students.
Above all, it contains specific instructions so that even teachers unfamiliar with online teaching tools can follow it easily and simply.

If we gradually implement these 100 activities across 10 themes, we will be able to create a learning environment where teachers and students can interact and have fun while learning at the same time.
