SNUH MANUAL OF MEDICINE
SNUH MANUAL OF MEDICINE
Description
Book Introduction
After the painstaking efforts of many professors, the Department of Internal Medicine, Seoul National University College of Medicine, is publishing the seventh edition of the Manual of Medicine.
This manual is based on the 1993 Resident Practice Manual, the 1999 Internal Medicine Guidelines, and the 2002 Internal Medicine Practice Guidelines.
And, in response to the wishes of medical staff for guidelines that can be applied immediately in the field, the first edition was published in January 2012 by all internal medicine departments at Seoul National University Hospital, Bundang Seoul National University Hospital, Seoul Metropolitan Government Boramae Hospital, and Seoul National University Hospital Gangnam Center. Since then, it has maintained its position as the leader in domestic medical manuals for over 13 years.
We could have reached our readers earlier, but we apologize for the delay due to the 2024 legislative crisis.
This seventh edition aims to more faithfully follow the principles of previous revised editions.
In other words, in an era where the number of things we need to know in the medical field is increasing, this book must provide practical and up-to-date answers to the clinical problems our juniors and students will face.
Additionally, as care, not just cure, becomes more important and more complex situations arise where consideration must be given to the patient, a new chapter on 'palliative care' has been established to assist in more integrated treatment.
On the one hand, we tried to include content that can be actively referenced by internal medicine specialists who directly treat patients in the medical field.
