Description
Book Introduction
This translation is based on the previous three editions by John W.
Not authored solely by Creswell, but by Cheryl N.
This is a translation of the 4th edition of Qualitative Inquiry and Research Design: Choosing Among Five Approaches (2018, Thousand Oaks, CA: Sage Publications, Inc.), co-authored with Poth.

A distinctive feature of this revision is that, since the publication of the third edition, it introduces various approaches to qualitative research—narrative, phenomenology, grounded theory, ethnography, and case study—and shows in various ways how the specificity of each approach unfolds throughout the research process.
That is, the differences between these five approaches are described so that they are most clearly revealed through how they were used in the research process, and the research process is shown to include all of the stages of research introduction through setting the research purpose and research question, data collection, data analysis, report writing, and criteria for validity and evaluation.

This book not only provides a comprehensive overview of the forest of qualitative research and the trees of detailed methodologies, but also offers a more diverse and user-friendly path to finding specific trees within that forest than the previous three editions, making it more accessible to those interested in qualitative research.
