Description
Book Introduction
Tabula Rasa, famous for its travel maps, has released the second edition of the World Map 2024-2025 from its 'Aiden Travel Map'.
It was created to reflect recent changes, such as the names of the capitals of Kazakhstan and the country names of Türkiye.
It also improves the print quality and material quality of the mapbook and provides tools for planning world travel by adding a travel note.
The Aiden World Map Bookstore Edition includes two A1-size (841*594) world maps made of waterproof paper and folded into A5 sheets.
One page contains a detailed summary of the historical stories of over 170 countries around the world, while the other page is a travel map that helps you find travel destinations and major cities, along with indications of conflict zones, empires/kingdoms, and birthplaces of civilization.
We've also compressed these two key maps into a small mini mapbook.
Travel Note provides maps and checklists to help you plan your trip.
You can check the places you have been to or want to visit using the flag stickers we provide.
Aiden World Map is pure content with no ads whatsoever.
As this map focuses on travel and history, it cannot be compared to other maps.

Into the book
Numerous dynasties over approximately 5,000 years.
During the Han Dynasty, a state centered on the Han people was born.
It goes through the Three Kingdoms period, the Southern and Northern Dynasties, the Sui, Tang, Yuan, Ming, and Qing Dynasties, and continues to the modern era.
There were many cases where the owners of the mainland were not Han Chinese.
The Song Dynasty was a time when medieval culture flourished.
The Yuan Dynasty was one of the Mongol Empires, and the Qing Dynasty was the last dynasty on the Chinese mainland. After Nurhachi united the Jurchen people and established the Later Jin Dynasty, it was called the Great Qing.
The Taiping Rebellion arose due to the Qing Dynasty's incompetence, and the Xinhai Revolution led to the birth of the Republic of China, the first republic in Asia, but it was torn apart by civil war.
In 1930, the Chinese Communist Party won the Chinese Civil War, and in 1949, the socialist country of the People's Republic of China was born.
--- From "Chinese History"
The first nation, Gojoseon, was founded in 2333 BC by Dangun Wanggeom.
The Three Kingdoms period (the Warring States period consisting of Mahan, Jinhan, Byeonhan, Baekje, Nakrang Commandery, Dongokjeo, Dongye, Goguryeo, Dongbuyeo, and Buyeo) was conquered by Baekje, Silla, and Goguryeo, forming the Three Kingdoms period.
At first, Silla was the weakest of the three kingdoms, but it gradually grew in strength and unified the three kingdoms (Unified Silla).
At this time, Dae Jo-yeong, who left Goguryeo, founded Balhae. Balhae and Silla are also called the North-South States Period.
Taking advantage of the chaos in Silla in the late 9th century, the Later Three Kingdoms period arrived, and Wang Geon unified the Later Three Kingdoms in 918 and founded Goryeo.
During the reign of King Gongmin of Goryeo, Yi Seong-gye returned from Wihwado Island while on his way to conquer Liaodong and founded Joseon in 1392.
In 1592, the Japanese invasion caused the Imjin War, and thanks to the efforts of General Yi Sun-sin, the Japanese forces were barely defeated.
Afterwards, the Qing Dynasty invaded twice, and during the second invasion in 1636, when Emperor Taizong of the Qing personally led 120,000 troops, King Injo fought at Namhansanseong Fortress and eventually surrendered at the west gate.
After winning the First Sino-Japanese War in 1894, Japan expanded its influence in Korea and the Liaodong Peninsula. After winning the Russo-Japanese War in 1904, Japan signed a treaty with Japan the following year and began to colonize Korea in earnest.
The March 1st Movement took place in Joseon, the Provisional Government of the Republic of Korea was established, and independence movements took place in Manchuria, China, and other parts of the world.
After Japan's defeat in World War II and liberation in 1945, the country was divided into North and South Korea again due to various political and foreign influences, marking the beginning of a dark history.
Ultimately, the Korean War broke out in 1950 due to North Korea's invasion, and as a result of the war, both sides suffered catastrophic damage.

Battle of Midway, June 5, 1942
This naval battle changed the course of the Pacific War, with the defeat of the Japanese Imperial Air Force and the sinking of four Japanese aircraft carriers.
--- From "The Battle of Midway"
1850-1864 Taiping Rebellion
The Qing Dynasty won thanks to the ideology of the Protestant Reformation and the idea of equality, Western powers' support for the Qing Dynasty, and internal strife.

Publisher's Review
Plan Your World Trip with Aiden's World Map, Revised Edition 2024-2025, is designed to enhance your understanding of history and culture.
Additionally, it has been designed to help you select and plan your travel destination based on this, and thus serve as a basic study for planning a world trip.
It used a special imported paper called a waterproof map, and compared to general books where folding and packaging are somewhat automated, the manual labor cost was high.
I think it will be a convenient travel map for independent travelers to carry around.
Author's Note
Tabula Rasa CEO Lee Jeong-gi is a travel content expert at heart, having created travel content and services for 17 years.
I have also worked at several travel startups and travel agencies such as Hana Tour.
He is currently the CEO of Tabula Rasa Publishing, where he plans, writes, and publishes various travel-related books.
In 2020, it was selected as one of the few 'tourism ventures' by the Korea Tourism Organization and was awarded the Outstanding Tourism Venture in the Newcomer category that year.
The domestic travel guidebook became the annual bestseller in Kyobo's travel division, and other books under the "Aiden" brand also became bestsellers.
And the "Aiden Travel Map" sold on Naver is sold to 100,000 people annually.
Aiden's travel books are ultimately moving towards digital, but for now, they stick to analog travel information delivery methods.
Because analog doesn't always mean it's inconvenient.
We will continue to provide conveniences that are difficult to provide with digital machines through paper, which is analog, until the day analog ends.
