Description
Book Introduction
Mindfulness is awareness.
What? Me! And the world around me!

"My Mind is Precious: 30 Mind Exercises to Strengthen Me" is Korea's first 'mindfulness picture book' written by Mindfulness Playground, a mind care expert who has been planning and developing mindfulness programs in elementary schools and centers since 2017 to address children's worries and difficulties in their hearts through mindfulness meditation and to help both caregivers and educators live healthy and wise lives.
This book is a picture book tailored to the mind, helping children who have difficulty dealing with unfamiliar emotions in their daily lives to recognize their own emotions and overcome their confusion by organizing '30 mind exercises' into play and experiential activities.

Through this book, children can read about their own emotions in various situations, develop their own mental strength, and build self-esteem.
Throughout the text, there are several appendices for parents and educators, such as "Speaking Practice with Children," "Activity Tips," "Meditation Guide," and "Mindfulness Guide for Parents," so you can choose the advice that's right for you and deal with your child's emotions appropriately.
Adults who have neglected their own self-care because they are too focused on their children or young children can also use this book to help them understand their children's emotions with a mature attitude and overcome anger or depression without being swept away by them.
By reviewing the "Mindfulness List" included at the end of the book, you will be able to grow into a child with a healthy mind who can easily overcome the discomfort caused by unfamiliar emotions anytime, anywhere.

Publisher's Review
The "Mindfulness Meditation Syndrome" That Has Rocked Education in the UK, US, Europe, and South Korea

Mindfulness is paying attention to and noticing the experiences that are happening in the present moment with curiosity and non-judgment.
The way to train this state of mind is ‘mindfulness meditation.’
According to a 2017 survey by the National Institute for Health Research, one in eight students aged 5-19 in the UK has a mental health problem.
The British government, sensing the seriousness of the situation, promoted the introduction of mindfulness activities into public education, and 370 schools in the UK introduced mindfulness meditation programs such as breathing and muscle relaxation techniques to teach children the importance of mental health.
Mindfulness has been promoted in American elementary, middle, and high schools for several years as a way to improve students' happiness and resilience from stress.
Mindfulness is already being implemented in the educational system in our country as well as abroad.

Minjok History High School has been providing meditation classes to students since its opening, and middle schools in Gwangjin-gu have implemented mindfulness classes, with individual teachers voluntarily introducing meditation instruction.
Most students who have completed mindfulness training report that practicing mindfulness meditation helps them stay calm and focused in stressful situations.
Schools, teachers, and caregivers don't have the answers to every problem children face.
This is because each child experiences different emotional difficulties and has different ways of overcoming them.
As children grow into adults, they are placed in environments where there is a lot of competition and stress.
If you can properly examine and deal with the various emotions that arise in your heart at this time, you will grow into a better adult.
True growth begins with taking care of my body and mind.

Mindfulness, an emotional education program that cultivates the ability to face and think about one's own emotions.

How many children can easily answer the question, "How are you feeling today?" The mind contains thoughts, emotions, and memories, but unlike the body, they are invisible and intangible, making it difficult to express what's truly on our minds.
Mindfulness is needed to care for this invisible mind.
Mindfulness Playground, the author of this book, says, "Mindfulness is being aware of myself and the world around me."
Mindfulness is not as difficult as you think.
It's about taking a close look at the sensations, emotions, thoughts, what I see in front of me, the people next to me, and the place where we live.

Mindfulness helps me read my emotions.
When you feel angry, sad, or uncomfortable, you can look back on your emotions by using the 'Mind Purifying Breathing Method' and 'Looking at Your Breath with a Piece of Tissue' in the book.
You can develop your attention and concentration by feeling the sensations in your body through the 'Fingers and Toes Wiggle Dance Party' activity.
Through activities like 'Draw the weather in your mind today' and 'Create a thought cloud', you can also learn how to recognize your emotions and thoughts and express them specifically.
If you can read my emotions, you can know other people's emotions too.
You can also share the love and kindness within you with others through activities such as ‘Kindness Piggy Bank’ and ‘Let’s Bake Love Cookies.’
Create more space in your mind so that you can enjoy inner peace and happiness without being overwhelmed by negative emotions.
Because my habits, actions, and ways of thinking through mindfulness will make my life meaningful and valuable in the future.

“What is happening to my body and mind right now?”
30 Mind Exercises to Strengthen Your Mind, According to a Mind Care Expert

"My Heart is Precious: 30 Mind Exercises to Strengthen Me" is a picture book that helps children manage their emotions on their own, boosting their self-esteem and leading them to grow up healthy and happy.
The Mindfulness Playground, which wrote this book, is a team of mindfulness experts who work in lively settings with children, encountering and caring for the minds of young children who struggle with unfamiliar emotions.
The most important thing in mindfulness practice is to read the emotions in your mind.

This book is composed of 'Mental Warm-up Exercises', 'Awareness of Breathing and Body', 'Awareness of Emotions and Thoughts', 'Awareness of Gratitude and Love', and 'A Journey in My Heart' to help us take a closer look at the sensations, emotions, thoughts, what I see in front of me, the people next to me, and the place where we live.
The illustrations capture the emotions that blossom in children's hearts in various situations, including at home, kindergarten, daycare, and school, where they are most active.
Just like children each with their own distinct personalities, the book features friends with diverse faces.
Young readers will discover and empathize with friends who resemble them or who they aspire to be like, and reflect on their own feelings.
In the process, you will develop the ability to read other people's emotions and understand them.
The Parenting Mindfulness Guide provides immediate, positive advice to caregivers and educators and provides effective methods for teaching children about their emotions.
Just as we train our muscles to build a healthy body, our mind also needs muscles.
Start today with 10 minutes a day of '30 Mindfulness Meditations' that will empower you to face what's happening in your body and mind right now and discover your thoughts.
