Into the book
Roll, roll, roll, splash!
Suddenly, the surroundings became dark with a loud noise.
“Something fell into the swamp!”
“Look, it’s Full Moon Rock!”
The rock stuck in the swamp began to sink little by little.
“Oh, if this continues, everyone in the swamp will be crushed by the rocks.
What should I do?
“I will find and bring in those who can help me!”
After saying that, Chaengi immediately started swimming.
As he swam down to the bottom of the swamp, Chang-i discovered a brightly glowing hole and jumped in with his eyes closed.
--- pp.4-5
There were carp living there.
"You want to push the Full Moon Rock up? I don't think we can do it.
“This house has different creatures living on each of the ten floors, so go look for another one.”
“I heard that a powerful being lives on the 100th floor below.
“The road ahead is long, so fill your stomachs here first and then leave.” --- pp.8-9
“Hey there, young man.
“Would you mind helping us?”
“I’m very busy right now!”
“We are in charge of the delivery work in this swamp.
“I need to deliver 100 boxes, so please carry them for me.”
“I’m not here to work right now!”
We reached the 30th floor.
Who will live on the next floor? --- pp.10-11
“We are water fleas.
“Please take care of me.”
“The full moon rock fell into the swamp?
That's a big deal.
I'll help you.
“Let’s go together.”
“Thank you!” That’s true, but it’ll be hard for you guys to move the rock.
We reached the 60th floor.
Who will live on the next floor? --- pp.16-17
But the rock doesn't move at all.
“Oh, what should I do?
“It doesn’t move at all.”
It was at that very moment that Chaeng-i muttered like this.
“This rock, there’s a crack here!”
The voices of water fleas were heard in the swamp.
Then the electric eel shouted.
“Then leave it to us!” --- p.28-29
“It’s dangerous, stay away!”
The electric eels joined forces and poured out all their energy.
Then…
Crackle, crackle, crackle, bang!

Publisher's Review
Down, down, down, in the swamp. As you go down the 100-story house, you encounter different creatures on each floor: the 10th, 20th, 30th floors.
You will encounter crayfish, carp, water snails, snails, upa-rupa, water fleas, soft-shelled turtles, crocodiles, electric eels, and kappa in succession. The swamp creatures are drawn intricately with a whimsical imagination, allowing you to explore various spaces as if playing a hidden picture game.
The 〈100-Story House Series〉, which allows children to read and reread without getting tired of it, allows them to create stories by looking into every nook and cranny, and not only fosters a rich imagination in children, but also has a learning effect as they can easily learn the numbers from 1 to 100 just by reading and looking at the picture books.
The author's idea of having children read the book downwards so they can fully enjoy the feeling of descending to the 100th floor of the swamp is quite refreshing.
