“I’ll stop blaming myself now.
“Change depends on the unconscious, not on me!”

How to Use Unconsciously to Change the Lives of 2 Million MZ People

Do you still find yourself repeatedly giving in to impulses, avoiding mistakes, and thinking it's a willpower issue? If you truly want to control your self-destructive habits, this book is for you.
The answer and solution to why we act and make decisions against our will without realizing it are all here.

The author of this book, Dr. Courtney Tracy, lived an uncontrollable life of drug and alcohol addiction until the age of twenty-two, and then became a therapist with the desire to live a better life.
After that, he studies psychology and realizes the truth by pulling himself and others out of the abyss.
The point is that not being able to control your emotions and actions or repeating self-destructive habits is not a personal flaw, but rather human nature.
Because our bodies and brains react, think, and judge unconsciously.
Even though the unconscious mind controls more than 95% of our emotions, thoughts, and actions, we suffer trying to solve problems with only our conscious mind (thoughts).
Even the best plans are doomed to fail without understanding how human behavior works.
Now, let's understand and tune the unconscious through this book.

The author devised the '12 Steps of Consciousness' and included them in this book to help people look into and control their unconscious.
Part 1 is a guide explaining what the unconscious is through psychology and brain science.
It delves into the unconscious mind that prioritizes survival the most among us yet makes life difficult, and explains step by step how the unconscious mind influences our choices and actions.
Part 2 provides a variety of effective tools called the '12 Steps of Consciousness', as specific practices are needed to recognize the unconscious and take the initiative.
If you're tired of feeling like nothing has changed and you're still the same no matter how hard you try, read this book.
You can understand the forces that block your actions and gain the power to make choices of your own will.
The moment you regain control of your life through this book, you will go beyond simple self-control and redesign your entire life.

Into the book
From a young age, I wanted more than anything to be in control of my life.
But for over 10 years, he lived like a mascot of 'out of control'.
--- p.22

Now let's face the truth.
Living as a human is inherently complex.
As we go through life, we form our identities through the stories we tell ourselves, the stories others tell us, and the stories society tells us.
The brain makes decisions through automatic thoughts and judgments without us knowing.
Also, we often ignore the signals our body sends us.
The signal could be stress manifesting as pain, or it could be an intuition that has been ignored in the name of 'reason'.
For example, when choosing a spouse, you choose based on their salary rather than their attitude towards you.
--- p.7

Our thoughts, feelings, and actions are largely influenced by the unconscious (the realm outside of awareness).
We believe we decide what we think, what we feel, and how we act, but in reality, we don't.
Saying this may sound like an evasion of responsibility, but it is not.
It's just the truth.

The unconscious is powerful.
It is much more powerful than consciousness (the realm we are aware of).
The reason why unwanted habits, thoughts, emotions, and behaviors that hurt ourselves and others hold us captive and refuse to let go is because our bodies, brains, and minds unconsciously protect us and constantly keep us alive.
The goal of the unconscious is not our happiness, but our survival.
--- p.24

We are in charge of our own lives, and we are the most important beings in our lives.
We deserve to change for ourselves.
So you have to give yourself an ultimatum.
Furthermore, you have to prove to yourself that it's not just 'I am this kind of person' and 'I will always be this kind of person.'
--- p.26

Today, we spend more time following the lives of our neighbors and celebrities than we do learning how our own bodies function.
When the supermarket runs out of the ketchup we always buy, we spend more time worrying about which brand to buy and what other people think of us.
We are not really interested in how or why thoughts are formed in our heads.
And we blame ourselves, but in reality we are just living as humans.
We blame ourselves for having different sensibilities than those around us, for choosing to do what makes us feel good (when we have other things to do right now), and for being easily swayed by the thought, "I can't control this, myself, or anything."
So now is the time to break free from the way we were designed to live as humans.
It's not that living as a human is wrong, it's that no one has ever properly taught us how to live as a human.
--- p.47

When we judge the likelihood of something happening, we tend to judge it based on how similar it is to a 'standard' image in our heads, rather than considering complex possibilities.
Ultimately, we automatically categorize people and judge them based on stereotypes, whether we like it or not.
But if we become aware of these biases and acknowledge more possibilities, we can make better decisions.
--- p.119

Listen carefully.
We can consciously control and change our lives.
It's true.
Even if we can't control the one thing that's causing us the most pain in our lives right now, there are still other things we can control.
Even though there are things we can't change even if we want to, there are still elements in our lives that we can change, and we can actually change them.
--- p.181

You truly know best what is best for you to organize your body, brain, mind, and life in general, and prepare yourself for the steps necessary to grow consciously.
You already know what works for you and what holds you back.
Just listen to yourself, your whole being, every part of you.
What do you need now? What do you need to remove, what do you need to add, what do you need to change to become more clear, more competent, and more steadfast on this path? --- p. 190-191

If we do not recognize and accept that we are born as unconscious beings and cooperate with the unconscious, we will leave trauma to others and ourselves.
The unconscious state is our basic premise.
We must recognize this fact and use our consciousness to guide our unconscious in the right direction.
--- p.210

All humans face the challenge of needing to change, if not in all aspects of their lives, then at least in some areas that are important to them.
--- p.222

You now become increasingly conscious of the sensations, thoughts, feelings, actions, and decisions you experience and engage with every day.
It was not an easy task, but it has finally become a reality.
From now on, when your subconscious mind whispers, "I think you should drink a glass of water right now," you can actually pour and drink the water instead of pretending not to know like before.
You may find yourself giving feedback or pointing out someone's behavior less frequently than you used to.
You may find yourself saying 'no' more often.
Whatever change has occurred, consciously acknowledge it.
You also have to be able to acknowledge 'good changes' yourself.
Be proud of yourself and believe in yourself.
--- p.229

Consciously changing and controlling your behavior requires practical changes that specifically address the many unconscious causes that drive that behavior.
For example, changes such as dealing with automatically recurring physiological responses, pledging not to be manipulated by others, developing strategies for looking inward before acting, developing self-control and patience, managing one's environment, and avoiding emotional stimuli.
We must consciously resolve not to fall into the same hole over and over again, and expand our toolkit of skills to combat the unconscious mind's attempts to control us.
--- p.290~291

I hope you feel consciously transformed through this journey.
I hope you feel much more in control of yourself and your life than before.
I hope to understand myself better as a human being.
You deserve to be understood, respected, and cared for as a being with a body, a brain, and a mind.
--- p.345

Publisher's Review
“This book will awaken your sense of control,
“I will give you the life you want!”

The art of self-regulation that breaks free from the shackles of failure and creates action

You make a firm resolution and work hard to achieve your goals, thinking, 'This time, I absolutely must quit drinking and smoking, lose weight, study, and not get angry,' but soon after, you crumble and end up back where you started.
In this book, the author reveals that it is not willpower but the 'unconscious mind' that creates behavioral patterns of failure.
Because the unconscious, which determines human behavior, hates change and makes decisions based on past experiences, we continue to be swayed by impulses, avoid problems, and repeat mistakes as before.
Ultimately, the reason we get held back every time we try to change is not because we are weak-willed, but because we do not understand the unconscious.
This book reveals the unconscious mechanism in detail and presents practical methods to control it.

What is most noteworthy about this book is that the author also lived a self-destructive life and overcame it.
Courtney Tracy, now known as "The Truth Doctor," has two million followers and is a successful entrepreneur with five businesses under her belt. But from the ages of thirteen to twenty-two, she struggled with drug and alcohol addiction and spiraled out of control.
One day, at the age of twenty-two, after spending every night in peril, I was diagnosed with borderline personality disorder and became a therapist with the desire to live a proper life.
After studying psychology, he realized that the unconsciousness was at the basis of his behavior, and he created a way to deal with the unconsciousness and started living his life.
And he posted about his experience on social media under the title, 'Your unconscious is being revealed,' which received explosive views.

In this book, as a doctor of psychology and therapist, he uses psychology and brain science to explain in detail why we remain stuck in the same patterns and how we can break free from them.
As a former addict who lived a life of hopelessness, he honestly confesses his impulses, anxieties, and countless failures, instilling deep empathy and the confidence that you too can change.
If you have ever blamed yourself, saying, “Why do I just think about it and then just do it?”, you should definitely read this book.
We offer the most reliable solution to those who only have a lot of thoughts but no change in reality, and who can put them into practice.

The 12-Step Revolution of Consciousness: Taking Back Control of Your Life

This book is largely divided into two parts.
Part 1 explains how humans work and why we are so driven by our unconscious.
Only through Part 1 will you begin to understand why all your actions keep returning to the same place.
Part 2 provides specific guidance on how to actively change your life through the '12 Steps of Consciousness' devised by the author.
It starts with developing the strength to pause instead of reacting immediately when an impulse arises, to face one's habits and behavioral patterns, to choose to act differently, and ultimately to persist consistently.
By going through these steps, the unconscious no longer controls me, and I can direct my life in the direction I want.

Steps 1 through 4 are about 'acknowledging the unconscious', and rather than blindly reacting to moments of impulse and avoidance, you train yourself to pause for a moment and notice what emotions and thoughts are arising within you at the moment.
This step will help you understand where recurring patterns come from and under what circumstances they are reinforced.
Next, steps 5 through 9 are 'Consciously Tune', which is the stage where you share your unconscious aspects with others and truly tune them.
This will help you correct your past actions and restore damaged relationships.
The last steps 10 through 12 are 'persist and expand'.
This is the stage where you put your plan into action and establish it as a long-term habit.

The work of taking out, dismantling, and redesigning the unconscious within us can be very arduous and even tedious.
Let's take our time and take it one step at a time.
As you turn the pages, you will find yourself thinking, acting, and deciding more consciously and clearly.
