Don't drift away
Description
Book Introduction
“If you lose your mind, you will just be swept away by the waves of delusion!!”
You can escape delusion only if you never stop rowing toward the truth.
A strong wave of delusion is sweeping through this era, making it impossible to distinguish between what is true and what is false.
If you stay still, you will be swept away by waves of delusion in the blink of an eye.
This is not a problem that can be solved simply by faith.
So, the author first informs us about the powerful wave of delusion that is sweeping through this era and then introduces methods for protecting the truth.
In this age where facts and facts are no longer important and instead meaning and emotions are rampant, the way to fight against delusion is introduced as 'discernment.'
It emphasizes calmly checking the facts and looking at this world from a biblical perspective based on the facts.
It is a question of reflecting on whether your own thoughts and judgments are also based on facts.
Ahead of Christians lies the 'battle of truth' that they must fight for their entire lives.
He emphasizes that the truth we believe in is not limited to the private and religious truths of individual spirituality or faith, but is a 'fact' closely connected to the community, society, and nation to which we belong.
I strongly recommend this book to anyone who wishes to defend the truth against the powerful waves of delusion in this age.

Into the book
The world we live in is not a lake, but a river.
There is a flow.
Even if we just stay still, the current will carry us downstream! We live in this current.
The Bible warns us about this very thing.
“It is necessary to keep from drifting away!” There is no such thing as ‘maintaining the status quo’ on the journey of faith.
If you don't go against the flow, you'll just drift along with it.
--- p.22
Delusion is 'spirit'.
So once you are caught up in the illusion, the conversation becomes unmanageable.
You can't see, hear, or think rationally.
If you look at it from a little distance, you might think, 'How can someone believe something so absurd?' However, those who are deluded believe it to be 'truth' and 'justice'.
So, delusion cannot be broken without the work of the Holy Spirit.
It's impossible to put into words.
There is no answer other than prayer.
--- p.41-42
Because money has real power, knowing about money doesn't mean you can stop its flow.
To counter that force, real 'force' is needed.
And that power comes from being ‘filled with the Holy Spirit.’
Yes, that's right.
To resist the power of money, we need to be filled with the Holy Spirit.
--- p.124
Remember.
If you fight wrong, you can end up in greater danger.
If you try to fight against delusion with faith, you may end up being deluded even more deeply by that faith.
Because you believe in what you are deluded about.
If you try to fight against tribulation with discernment, it will only flow into intellectual play and will not exert any real power.
The only way to fight against temptation is to be filled with the Holy Spirit.
Be filled with the Holy Spirit!
--- p.139
The devil's weapon is lies.
Christians must always be based on truth.
Beware of the arrogance of saying, 'I will never do that.'
No one can be an exception.
A true Christian must have a responsible attitude of humility, self-reflection, listening to others' opinions, and earnestly seeking the truth.
It will protect us from the spirit of delusion.
--- p.169
Love also needs a controller.
Loving something doesn't mean loving everything.
Someone once seriously asked, “Even the devil is pitiful, so shouldn’t we love him?”
The controller of love is 'of'.
It is not a biblical value to love everyone with compassion.
Love must be based on 'righteousness'.
If the controller of freedom is ‘love’, then the controller of love is ‘righteousness’.
--- p.188
We have a social responsibility along with an evangelical responsibility.
It is about establishing the universal values of the Bible—freedom, love, and justice—in our society.
Discerning this is not as easy as it sounds.
Much prayer and the illumination of the Holy Spirit are needed.
Lay down your pride that you know everything before God, and once again go out before the authority of the Bible, asking for the help of the Holy Spirit.
And ask God for the courage to proclaim the values of freedom, love, and justice and to fulfill social responsibility.
--- p.192
An accurate understanding of the times is necessary.
We must be able to discern truth from falsehood, know what biblical values are, and know what the delusions of the times are.
Pray specifically with this knowledge.
We need specific prayers, not just a general “God, take care of it!” prayer.
--- p.247
The ultimate goal of deception is to make us stand against God.
Without even knowing it.
Go with the church, the body that God loves, until the end.
It will guard your heart and mind.

Publisher's Review
Challengers of truth are sweeping this era.
Defend the truth against the waves of delusion!!
The reason modern society is characterized by chaos and anxiety is because of the challengers to truth that swirl around it.
At some point it became difficult to distinguish what was true and what was not.
It seems we've entered a world where "objective facts" have disappeared, leaving only "subjective perceptions." Each person's "interpretation" of an event can vary.
But the facts themselves cannot be different.
The crisis facing modern society is not a matter of ‘differences in interpretation.’
There is a conflict of facts, where the 'fact itself' that is recognized is different.
There is no answer to this.
Challenges that are too complex to be solved by mere faith flow around us.
The Bible calls this phenomenon 'deception.'
Delusion is the inability to distinguish between what is true and what is false.
When you are deluded, you believe lies to be truth and truth to be lies.
The Bible says that in the last days there will be deception, temptation, and tribulation.
Tribulation must be fought with faith, but delusion must not be fought with faith.
If you are deceived and put faith in it, you will be deceived even more deeply.
The way to fight delusion is through 'discernment'.
‘Discerning knowledge’ is required.
What exactly is it that bewitches us in this age? We must examine and study it deeply.
We think it's 'normal', but in fact we need to know what 'strange things' are and what their roots are.
The truth will set us free.
From confusion and anxiety!
