Description
Book Introduction
Customized prayers for parents who want to pray specifically
This book is a must-have prayer book for parents who want to pray for their children.
This book provides solutions to prayer concerns by providing practical and specific prayers for parents who want to pray for their beloved children but are at a loss as to how to proceed, or for parents who find it difficult to properly express their prayer requests.
In particular, this prayer takes the form of a 'nine-day prayer to Our Lady, the Untieer of Knots.'
As you know, the prayer to Our Lady of Untying Knots was made known by Pope Francis, and many people have reportedly experienced amazing grace through this prayer.
This form of prayer is very new and interesting in that it allows believers who have been accustomed to praying the rosary to participate in praying for the intercession of the Virgin Mary in a different way than before.
Moreover, this book is designed to be the size of an adult's palm, making it easy to carry around and pray with whenever and wherever you want.

Into the book
Parenting is one of the most precious blessings God has given us, but fulfilling that role well is no easy feat.
So, for parents, how to raise their children well is the biggest concern and ultimate concern.
Even so, since there are limits to what parents can do for their children, parents entrust to God what they cannot do and ask for the intercession of the Virgin Mary.
That is prayer.
Prayer is the best and only way to raise children well.
A child's future is established through parents' prayers, and the faith in God shown through prayer is the best legacy parents can leave their children.
--- p.8-9, from the 'Preface'
This book was created with the hope that it will be of practical help to parents who want to pray for their children but are unsure how to do so.
If our children wake up to the sound of their parents' prayers in the early morning and fall asleep to the touch of their hands in prayer late in the evening, they will realize how precious and loved they are.
Parents' prayers protect their children's future and the happiness of their families.
Earnest prayer moves God and enables children to dream abundant dreams.
I put my hands together like this, thinking of my children who will live lives greater and more precious than the prayers of their parents.
“Lord, today I pray for my children with all my heart before you.
Just as our parents' prayers were great, we earnestly hope that our prayers will also be a great encouragement and support to our children.
“Lord, you are a loving God who works wonders even in our humble prayers.”
--- p.10-11, 'From the Preface
Knots are a variety of human problems that not only cause us mental and physical pain and distress, but also, when deepened, can exhaust our souls.
It could be a conflict between a couple, a conflict between parents and children, or a fight between siblings.
It could be the negative emotions that arise from all other human relationships and the resulting unpeaceful situations.
These knots arise from human relationships, but are also found within individuals.
These include illness, stress, addictions that are difficult to break, and bad habits that cannot be overcome.
These knots rob us of our peace and happiness.
Sometimes it chokes our souls and trips us up.
--- p.15-16, from 'There is no knot that the Virgin Mary cannot untie!'
I've been praying for my child who doesn't want to go to church on Sundays for some time now.
The child may find Sunday Mass and Sunday School burdensome and bothersome.
I earnestly ask you, Mother, for the seed of faith planted in your child's heart from an early age will be a great strength for the child's future journey.
Please let our children experience the rich grace of Mass and the joy of receiving the Eucharist, and let them learn more about the Lord and the Church, so that they can become valuable servants of the Church who love the Lord more than anyone else.
--- p.36, from 'For Children Who Don't Want to Go to Church (The Knot of Disbelief)'
Please pray for my sick child.
How can words fully express the feelings of a parent who watches their child struggle?
If I could, I would rather be sick than my child.
Just as the Lord healed many sick people during his public ministry, may you have compassion on our child and extend your healing hand to him so that he may regain his health.
I earnestly pray to the mother that the child in pain may have a strong faith that the Lord is always with him, and that after overcoming the illness, he may praise the Lord with a healthy body and mind.
--- p.40, from 'For sick children (The knot of illness)'
Please pray for our child who is feeling discouraged because he is not getting the results he expected.
As we live, we will often be surrounded by unexpected failures and hardships. Please grant our children a strong heart so that they will not be discouraged by these difficulties and will not be ashamed of their failures.
I pray to you, Mother, to give me the wisdom and courage to overcome this difficult time and to boldly overcome it.
Furthermore, let us realize that the very place where the child's strength and effort are exhausted is a precious opportunity for the Lord to personally work and help the child.
--- p.40-41, from 'For children who are discouraged in the face of difficulties (The Knot of Discouragement)'
Please pray for my child who is serving in the military (or about to enlist).
It's a process that every young man in Korea must go through, but both the child enlisting and the parents watching him are anxious and fearful as well as excited.
I earnestly implore you, Mother, to help your child approach military life with a positive attitude and pride in being a soldier of the Republic of Korea, and to help him develop greater physical and mental strength through training and communal living.
So, may you finish your military service with courage and live happily as a healthy member of society.

Publisher's Review
When you're young, be young; when you're mature, be mature.
Parents' worries about their children never subside.
Whether their children are young or grown, parents' hearts are always filled with worry about their children.
This book, which begins with 'Pope Francis's Prayer to Our Lady, the Undoer of Knots,' is divided into two large sections, 'Nine Days of Petition' and 'Nine Days of Thanksgiving,' in which parents can choose their own prayers from among the 'Prayers of Petition for Children.'
The 'Prayer of Petitions for Children' contains 36 'Prayers for Minor Children' and 12 'Prayers for Adult Children'.
Prayers for Minor Children include prayers asking for relief from the various difficulties, conflicts, and worries that children commonly experience at home, at school, in their religious life, and in their relationships with friends.
And prayers for adult children contain intercessory prayers for untying the knots of worries and difficulties that may arise during that time, such as employment, military enlistment, vocation, work life, marriage, and childbirth.
The appendix, ‘Prayer for Parents Yourself,’ contains prayers of listening and reliance, such as ‘For those who cannot listen to their children’ and ‘For those who worry too much about their children.’
Why a knot?
The nine-day prayer dedicated to Our Lady of Untying Knots has become a popular prayer among many believers around the world, not only because it was made known by Pope Francis, but also because the psychological expression of the "knot" and the warm image of Our Lady seem to have resonated with people.
As we live, we all face complex life problems that are like a tangled ball of thread.
It may be caused by things in the world that don't go as planned, complicated human relationships, or it may be caused by self-imposed obsessions and insecurities.
These knots in the mind can manifest in many ways, such as jealousy, obsession, anxiety, anger, frustration, and even violence.
Just as these knots differ in shape and size, the methods of untying them also differ.
But no matter how much you think about it and try to find every solution, there are some knots that just don't seem to have a solution.
Since ancient times, Catholic saints and Catholics have prayed the rosary, asking for the Virgin Mary's intercession to solve problems that are difficult to solve with human strength.
The 'Prayer for Children' offered to Our Lady, the Untieer of Knots, is a prayer asking Our Lady, the Comforter of those who are worried, to intercede for them to untie the difficult knots of their children.
A book that will make you a praying parent
Prayer for our children is our children's future.
A parent's prayer is to give their child a path in life where he or she can run freely.
The child will run along the road, meet people, and experience God in it.
It is God who answers our prayers, but children also respond to their parents' prayers with their lives.
A child who wakes up to the sound of his parents' prayers in the early morning and falls asleep to the touch of his parents' hands late at night while they are praying will surely grow up to be a child who responds to his parents' prayers.
Through this book, 'Prayer for Children,' we hope that children will recognize who they are through their parents' prayers and that they will be able to shape their own futures through those prayers.
No one can be a "perfect parent," but we can be "praying parents" who put our hands together every day for our children.
This book will lead you on the path to becoming a 'praying parent.'
