『Kyorokyorokyo』 is Korea's only semi-annual magazine specializing in animation.
『Kyorokyorokyo』was born to expand the culture of animation beyond simply watching it to thinking about it, recording it, and sharing it.
The first issue was completed with the theme of 'Evangelion+a' to commemorate the 30th anniversary of 'Neon Genesis Evangelion', one of the most iconic works of Japanese animation.
'a(alpha)' is a critical perspective and interpretation of how contemporary animation has been influenced by Evangelion.
The pages are filled with various information, analysis, and critiques on the 'Evangelion series', as well as a tour of Evangelion's sacred sites both domestically and internationally, interviews with domestic Evangelion experts and dubbing voice actors, conversations with SNS account holders responsible for the current generation's Eva culture, honest essays by creators who love Evangelion, and a survey conducted with readers.
Various experts who love animation participated, including Gil-Yong Lee, a professor of religious studies at Seoul Theological University who wrote "Eva Odyssey," Kyung-Won Song, editor-in-chief of "Cine21," and a video artist at Meltmirror.
『Kyorokyorok Special Issue: Evangelion+a』 was welcomed by many animation fans even before its publication, having raised approximately 25 million won through crowdfunding.
