Follow Jesus' example
Description
Book Introduction
As time goes by, there is only one thing I long for: to become more like Jesus.
Guide us on the path to following Jesus amidst the harsh realities and daily routines of life.
Any Christian would confess that he or she wants to become more like Jesus.
But the gap between our daily lives and our aspirations always frustrates us.
I think that Jesus' life was so idealistic that it could never be realized in this harsh reality we live in.
This book shows those who are struggling with such concerns how to follow Jesus.
It reveals in detail the process of following in His footsteps and implementing God's will on earth.
It illuminates the language of Jesus, the inner self of Jesus, the identity of Jesus, the power of Jesus, and the character of Jesus, and guides us on the path to becoming like Jesus.
The author says that the reality that the Korean church is being criticized by the world today may actually be something to be thankful for.
At least the world still thinks that the church should be different.
He encourages us that if we truly come to know Jesus more deeply, follow Him more completely, and become more like Him internally, the church can be reborn as a beautiful community that heals the world's pain, illuminates its darkness, and provides the answers the world seeks.
Do you long for Jesus? Do you yearn for Him? Do you desire to become more like Him? If so, read this book to learn more about Him and walk with Him step by step in your daily life.

Into the book
Jesus did not prove himself by his power, but by the cross.
Because the cross is the proof of God the Father's love.
In fact, people think that the ability to perform miracles is the greatest ability, but God says that the love that gives one's own life is the greatest ability.
Because of that love we were saved and because of that love we came to hope for heaven.
--- From “Chapter 1: Imitate Jesus’ Victory”
Jesus gave all authority in heaven and on earth to us, his children.
Hallelujah! So what in this world have we to fear? Whom have we to fear? This authority was granted when He sent us as the lord of all creation, restored when we were saved as children of God, and experienced and felt every moment of every day as we live as people of God! Demons will tremble before those who possess this spiritual authority, the walls of darkness will crumble before those who possess this spiritual authority, and the wisdom and power of heaven, the light of the world, will come upon those who possess this spiritual authority, and the boldness to overcome the enemy's attacks will be given to those who possess this spiritual authority! Therefore, imitate the authority of Jesus!
--- From “Chapter 2: Imitate Jesus’ Authority”
Jesus was telling them to have the heart of a shepherd, not a sheep.
“You give them something to eat.” This is a command to have the heart of a shepherd, the tears of a shepherd, and the mind of a shepherd.
God fed and clothed you, so why don't you try to feed them? He called you, who were once the lowest of the low, to be his disciples, but now gratitude and grace have vanished, and you see people only as numbers!
If you have a heart to feed them, it will not be you who feeds them, but God who feeds them.
Does the shepherd feed the sheep, or does the sheep feed the shepherd? Of course, the shepherd feeds the sheep.
But to the disciples, the crowds were merely objects of ministry for their own satisfaction, not sheep to whom they were willing to give their time and even their lives! Isn't this the situation in today's Korean church? A shepherd should sacrifice for the flock, but aren't they making the congregation sacrifice for the pastor?
--- From “Chapter 5: Imitate Jesus’ Miracles”
What are the conflicts and struggles of our lives? As believers living in the world, trapped within the two-dimensional, flat framework of "The world, or God? The world, or faith?", we are unable to escape that perspective.
But because Jesus had a 3D perspective, he gave a fundamental answer that people could never have imagined.
Why are we always afraid? Because we are always stuck in a flat perspective.
May the world of the Word be opened, may the inspiration of the Holy Spirit be opened, may Jesus' perspective be opened, may the language of Jesus' wisdom be opened! Those who see this three-dimensional structure that Jesus saw are free! They will not be anxious about where to go in the forest.
Because you can see the road from above the forest.
--- From “Chapter 7: Imitate Jesus’ Conversations”
Where does the true glory of God lie? It's not in me becoming a better person or the best.
The true glory of God lies in the presence of God in the worship we offer with all our heart, might, and mind, and in the presence of Christ in the loving community we build by humbly serving one another.
Therefore, the Korean church today must abandon arrogance and vanity and restore a true worship community and a community of love.
Here is our way of life.
