Into the book
What began as a sharing of the Word in one home has grown into a desire to invite more people to the Bible.
God did it.
And based on the content of the broadcast of “Oship Show,” I ended up making this book.
This book is a guidebook designed to help those who find the Bible difficult to read easily and enjoyably, following the flow of history.
You will experience the thrill of seeing the words of God, once disconnected from your busy, self-centered life, become one story, and the complex laws and events point to the one and only One, Jesus Christ.
But you should never read this book alone.
True life is found only in the Bible.
I hope that as you read this book, you will open your Bible.
In it we will hear God speaking directly to us.
--- From the "Preface"

Mattathias answered quietly.
“Even if the whole country worships Zeus at the king’s command, neither I nor my sons will break the law of our ancestors.” At that moment, a Jew who was about to offer a sacrifice stepped forward, trembling with fear, and poured pig’s blood on the altar.
The air freezes in an instant.
A spark appears in Mattathias' eyes.
In holy anger, he drew his sword from his waist without saying a word.
He first stabbed and killed a Jew who had betrayed God, and then he charged at the Greek soldiers.
Blood spurted out, soldiers screamed and fell into chaos.
The villagers opened their eyes wide and held their breath.
And Mattathias cried out:
“Whoever wants to keep the law, follow me! Let us go up to the mountain to keep God’s covenant!” That day, Mattathias went into the mountain with his five sons.
And he became the father of the guerrilla revolutionary army.

--- From "400 Years of Intermediate History"

Peter and the apostles began to preach again.
Now, you can just press the button and a sermon will come out.
“It is natural to obey God rather than people.
God raised Jesus from the dead, whom you killed by hanging him on a tree, and made him the Savior for repentance and forgiveness of sins.
We are witnesses of that event.
“The same is true of the Holy Spirit, whom God has given to those who obey him.” The chief priests and teachers of the law were greatly distressed because of them.
So I said, let's just kill him.
A heart-rending, murderous anger arose, as if it were tearing apart the heart, just like the reaction that occurred after Stephen's sermon.
But then Gamaliel, a Pharisee teacher of the law and later teacher of the Apostle Paul, stood up in the council and said,
“At one time, people followed Deutah and Judah, but eventually they all scattered.
Leave these people alone.
If this were done by man, it would collapse immediately, but if it were done by God, how could we stop it?”
--- From Acts 1

If we are circumcised, Christ will be of no benefit to us.
So Paul speaks to those who believe in Jesus and are circumcised.
Keep the entire law without missing a single thing! To be justified by the law is to be cut off from Christ and fall from grace.
Circumcision or uncircumcision is not important.
But why do the Galatian believers want to return to the law? They believe in Jesus, but false teachers have come and shaken them, so they want to strictly observe the law and flaunt their superiority.

--- From the Epistle to the Galatians

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the heavenly places with every spiritual blessing in Christ (Ephesians 1:3).
It's so shocking.
God has already given us spiritual blessings! Not "will give," but "has already given!" Yet, we don't know this, and we don't know how to use it.
So, can this divine blessing be received anywhere? No.
So where should we receive it? Let's find it in these words.
It is ‘in Christ.’
So who gives it? It is God.
When did this begin? Before the creation of the world (see Ephesians 1:4).

--- From Ephesians

There is something we should fear.
The question is, will there be anyone who cannot enter God's rest even though there is a promise to do so?
Even if you hear the gospel, if you do not believe, you cannot enter into rest.
God said through David, “Today, if you hear his voice, do not harden your hearts,” and he would not have said this if Joshua had given them complete rest.
So there still remains a rest period for God's people.
For he who has entered into rest also resteth, as God did from his work.
We too must strive to enter into rest.
--- From the Book of Hebrews

Publisher's Review
As the book's subtitle suggests, the author earnestly hopes for the day when "everyone will read the Bible" to come soon.
CGN's "Oship Show," which began with the hope that Woo-joo, the son, would be able to get closer to the Bible before his military enlistment, has expanded to include more episodes and share Bible stories with mothers, daughters, sons, and even acquaintances.
This experience led me to write a Bible guidebook that would help anyone read the Bible easily and enjoyably, driven by a desire to invite more people to the Bible and a desire given to me by the Lord.
From Genesis to Revelation, dozens of videos from "Oship Show" have been re-edited into text, and even in-depth content that could not be covered on air, the author's unique, humorous and witty way of speaking has been used to create a vivid experience, as if watching a historical drama.

The author divided the 66 books of the Bible into the Old and New Testaments.
"Come to the World of the New Testament" is a New Testament book organized in chronological order from the 400th year of the Middle Ages to the Four Gospels, Acts, Epistles, and Revelation.
It covers the intertestamental period between the Old and New Testaments from God's perspective, and integrates the four Gospels into the context of Jesus' life and his final week of ministry, helping readers follow in Jesus' footsteps.
It also includes Bible maps such as 'Areas Around Samaria' and 'Paul's Missionary Journey Route' to guide you into the world of deeper Bible reading.

Just as Nehemiah rebuilt the ruined walls and first read the Book of the Law through the prophet Ezra, seeking to restore the community of Israel, we too today need to read the Bible, which contains God's word, examine God's will within it, and be made complete in faith.
In that sense, through this book, many people will become interested in the Bible itself, and by opening the Bible and reading it directly, they will engrave God's will contained within it deep into their souls.
Additionally, each chapter includes a QR code for the CGN “Oship Show” video, allowing readers to learn about the Bible in a more colorful way.
Everyone who loves the Word will want to enter the world of the Bible!

From the reviewer's note

Deaconess Cho Hye-ryeon's "Come to the World of the Old Testament" and "Come to the World of the New Testament" make it easier for us to read the Bible.
This book has the following features:
First, it's fun.
The author has a talent for making people laugh, and this book clearly demonstrates that talent.
Everyone who reads this book will smile and realize that the Bible is such a fun book.
Second, it helps you easily understand the flow of the entire Bible.
In the Old Testament, historical books, sacred writings, and prophetic books were reorganized to fit the flow of the times, and in the New Testament, the Pauline letters were arranged based on the Acts of the Apostles.
So readers can understand the Bible chronologically even without historical knowledge of the Old and New Testaments.

Third, each book summarizes the necessary content well.
So it helps readers easily understand the core content of each volume.
Fourth, and above all, this book is a ‘child-rearing book.’
This is a book that a mother compiled after diligently studying the Bible, hoping that her son, who is serving in the military, will become closer to the Bible.
So, the entire book is permeated with the heart of a mother who loves her son, the universe, just as God loves us.
Reading the Bible is never easy.
However, 『Come to the World of the Old Testament』 and 『Come to the World of the New Testament』 guide readers into the world of the Bible in a fun, enjoyable, and clear way.
I hope that this book will be widely read so that many people will realize and experience the truth of “the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit” (2 Corinthians 13:13).
