For poet Lee Byeong-ryul, Paris, France is like that.
It was also in Paris that he became a poet after being selected for the New Year’s Literary Contest, and where he prepared his first poetry collection, “By the Seine, Where the Seine Cannot Be Seen.”
That place always strongly attracted the poet with an unknown energy.


"Because I Like It" is a collection of essays that sings of Paris, a city that has been cherished and loved for so long.
As he is well known for his best-selling travel essay trilogy, he has walked through countless cities and this time he records the streets and people of Paris, the cafes and artists, and the air and time there.

The Beginning of a 'Travel Picture Book' Published on the Moon

"Because I Like It" is poet Lee Byeong-ryul's first picture book and the first book in Dal's "Travel Picture Book" series.
This project, which contains the sentence “The very small stories and pictures that the person met there,” is a series in which writers of various genres, including poet Na Tae-ju, novelist Cheon Seon-ran, and novelist Jeong Se-rang, unravel certain places and memories that they have kept in a corner of their hearts with beautiful pictures. Poet Lee Byeong-ryul opened the series.

Reading someone's travelogue is like looking into their inner self.
By following what a person sees and hears in an unfamiliar place, and what scenery he or she captures in his or her heart, you can gain a deeper understanding of that person's life.
Because even the smallest choice and brief memory are imbued with the warmth and emotions he felt there.

This series is a journey of finding my own destiny through the destiny of others.
These people, who have each built their own world in their own places, tell the readers about the 'small stories they encountered while traveling' and the scenery and feelings contained within them.

As the name of the series, ‘Travel Picture Book’ suggests, another charm of ‘I Like It So’ lies in the illustrations in the book.
Illustrator Choi San-ho, who has worked with various artists including singer IU, novelist Park Seo-ryeon, and poet Hwang In-chan, participated as the illustrator of this book.


The colorful flies expressed through his eyes are quite different from the flies we have seen so far.
The blue and red lights of Paris are more vivid than ever.
His paintings, which seem to make “good things happen” the more you look at them, will transport readers to Paris in an instant when combined with the poet’s writing.
