Into the book
In 1832, Greece, having gained independence from the Ottoman Empire, struggled to recover the Parthenon sculptures.
However, Britain argued that it was not simply a Greek possession, but a common cultural heritage of the world, and that it should be managed by the British Museum, which has the best technology.
Some interpret this claim as meaning that if we return them one by one, we will have to return all the cultural properties from other countries in the British Museum to their home countries.
Should the Elgin Marbles remain in the British Museum in London, as they are now, or should they be returned to their original home in Athens, Greece?

“Pretending to be cool, putting on airs, forcing smiles, lying—all of these are ugly,” he said.
If Rodin had walked the path to success without experiencing any setbacks, he would not have realized this precious wisdom.
