Understanding College Mathematics
Understanding College Mathematics
Description
Book Introduction
This book is organized into eight chapters as follows:
Chapter 1 introduces the basics of mathematics and the Maxima program.
In Chapter 2, we learned about sets and functions, and in Chapter 3, we looked at the limits of sequences and functions.
Chapters 4 and 5 cover differentiation and its applications, Chapter 6 covers integration, and Chapter 7 covers vectors and matrices.
In Chapter 8, we looked at how to solve mathematical problems using the Maxima program.

This book focuses on the liberal arts level mathematics that college students should have.
After understanding the definition and summary of the text, students were guided to learn the calculation method and concepts through examples.
In addition, by introducing how to use Maxima, we also introduced a method to easily solve problems through the program, from basic operations and graphing to complex operations such as differentiation and integration.
Explanations of mathematical principles, along with various problems and programming applications, will broaden your understanding of mathematics and help you acquire university-level mathematical literacy.
