Early Intervention Children's Art Therapy
Description
Book Introduction
Why, for what purpose, am I doing this now? My experience at the Chicago Autism Treatment School in the United States was a life-changing experience that brought me many realizations.
Those were the times when I could reflect on myself and discover what would fuel my passion next to painting.
After returning to Korea, I developed Mogul AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) applications and teaching materials, which are communication assistive devices for children with ASD, while also conducting art therapy activities and various parent education services.
During the process, I sought advice from many professors and visited experts and doctors from various fields. One thing I felt was regretful was that there were not many books or materials in Korea about art therapy, including art, and child development, developmental delay, and ASD.
All of this became the springboard for my passion, connecting me with many people and many things, and leading to the publication of this book.
This book is a personal, experiential, and accessible book, filled with sincere love, yet professional in content.
So, I thought that the translation of this book was urgent because it was structured so that anyone could access it and easily read it, especially students, therapists, and teachers interested in developmental delay, child development, and early intervention, and especially parents of children with ASD symptoms.
If you are interested in ASD, child development/developmental delay, or art therapy, I highly recommend this book.
Lastly, I would like to share this book with you in the hope that my child, born with me, can grow up in a social environment where we can live together and accept that he or she is "beautifully" different.
