Qualitative Research Methodology 1
Description
Book Introduction
“Qualitative Research Methodology: I,” a representative research book and textbook on qualitative research in Korea, was reissued in its third edition in 2016.
Almost 20 years have passed since the first edition was published in 1996.
While the second edition was published in 2012 and did not differ significantly from the first edition, the third edition published this time is significant in that it improves and changes the problems and limitations that appeared in the first and second editions.
I believe that the academic value of this study has been enhanced by deleting all background information related to the background and spread of qualitative research previously covered, and by covering and newly including more content directly related to qualitative research itself.
What has changed in the third edition is that all background information, trends, and various information necessary for understanding qualitative research have been deleted.
The biggest change was the in-depth study of ‘document analysis’ as a qualitative research method.
The contents of the first and second editions have been further supplemented and improved.
In 1996, when I first wrote this book, there was not much in-depth field work or research on qualitative research in Korea.
To help graduate students and educational researchers who are learning qualitative research for the first time understand it, we have introduced more cases and experiences.
