Nursing English Conversation
Description
Book Introduction
Medical English for healthcare professionals requires nuanced communication with people from diverse and unique backgrounds, so traditional grammar and translation teaching methods have limitations in achieving smooth learning.
To overcome such limitations, first, specific and meaningful situations must be provided, and second, more emphasis must be placed on functional approaches such as the intention to be expressed, an appropriate way of expressing it, and strategies for effective communication with the other party.
Based on these facts, this textbook divides the most common issues that can arise in a hospital into each unit by situation, and weaves the actual conversations into a learner-centered structure.
We attempted to ensure that what was learned in the conversations was naturally acquired by repeating it in reading and vocabulary writing, and we placed practical English grammar at the end of each unit to ensure not only fluency but also accuracy.
