Marine internal combustion engine operation practice
Description
Book Introduction
Textbook for Marine Internal Combustion Engine Operators
A variety of on-site photos and commentary based on the author's boarding experience
Photo captions for periodic main engine maintenance
Description of the operation of auxiliary machinery such as central cooler, generator, and air compressor
This book explains the operation and maintenance practices of ship internal combustion engines with photographs based on onboard experience.
It was designed to be a practical reference for engineers currently on board or planning to board a ship for the operation of internal combustion engines on ships.
This book, which covers the essential operation of internal combustion engines for shipboard engineers, offers practical practical experience and practical knowledge to help future engineers. The book includes on-site practical examples, complete with photographs, to demonstrate the maintenance and operation of MAN ES cam-driven engines (MC-C) components, along with detailed explanations of each part's use.

Publisher's Review
This book is about the MAN ES cam-driven engine (MC-C) among the main engines. MAN ES has an overwhelming market share in marine engines, so it is an engine that many engineers are already familiar with.
This book is not written for those with experience, but rather for the relatively inexperienced novice engineer or for the engineer who is unfamiliar with the MAN ES cam-driven engine.
The basic measures and maintenance procedures for various problems that may arise during boarding are explained in an easy-to-understand manner from the perspective of a first-time engineer, and practicality is enhanced by attaching photographic materials according to the order of work.
Although the basic engine operating principles are different from those of the previously published book on electronically controlled marine engines, there is no significant difference in terms of maintenance, except for the presence or absence of an electronic control system from an operational perspective.
In fact, cam-driven engines are simpler and easier to work with.
Although this book will not provide answers to every problem that may arise in marine engines, it will hopefully be helpful to those new to cam-driven engines.
