This book attempts a holistic approach to the theoretical foundation, development, operation, and evaluation of physical education curriculum, including not only single subjects but also non-subjects in school education.
The physical education curriculum is the part that deals with the essence and core of physical education, and all physical education activities have the characteristic of starting and ending with the physical education curriculum.
Despite the importance of the physical education curriculum, many physical education students, researchers, and teachers lack the specialized books necessary to deeply understand and practice the physical education curriculum.
Accordingly, the purpose of "General Theory of Physical Education Curriculum" is to understand the overall structure and educational context of the physical education curriculum in elementary, middle, and high schools in Korea, and to cultivate curriculum expertise that can practice and evaluate the development process and principles of physical education and education curriculum at each school from the national level.
We hope this book will be a valuable resource for those currently teaching and researching physical education curriculum at universities, current and future elementary and middle school teachers developing and implementing physical education curricula, future elementary and physical education teachers, those responsible for physical education curriculum administration, and graduate students majoring in physical education.
