Book Introduction
This book has several features.
First, we examined the process through which the concept of 'culture' became an important variable in social science, especially anthropology.
In addition, we examined the necessity of 'culture' and 'psychology' and the process through which the academic field of cultural psychology emerged.
Second, it introduces Western cultural psychology as well as Eastern cultural psychology, especially Japanese and Korean cultural psychology.
This is part of an academic effort to achieve balance and harmony in Western-oriented psychological research.
Third, we introduce efforts to study Confucianism, which has had a significant influence on Korean culture and the lives of Koreans for a long time, from a psychological perspective.
