Into the book
We've all had that experience of looking at the numbers in our bankbook on payday and vowing, "I'm really going to save this month." But a few days later, our account balance is empty, and we inevitably say, "I'm going to save this month."
"My salary is too low, so I can't save money."

Is that really true? Are our money problems really about "not having enough" or about "not knowing how" our money is being spent?
Many people say, "I don't have much money to manage because my income is low."
But do we really have no money to manage? After a month, I'll definitely see the money I spent.
That's it! Knowing where your money is going and deciding where to direct it is "money management," or, more technically, "financial management."

The next step is ‘financial technology’.
It's not just about saving money, it's about using that money in a way that suits me.
So what's the real problem? The truth is, many people don't even know how they're spending their money, or under what circumstances.

--- 「Chapter 1.
Where Did All My Money Go? - From "Understanding the Flow of Money"

First, when I started writing this,
I thought a lot about how to deal with the topic of 'money' in a soft and gentle way.
When many books talk about money
Because it was full of numbers and efficiency language like returns, asset management, and saving tips.
In it, I was left with ‘emotions’ and ‘the context of life’ excluded.
I used to feel frustrated that I seemed to be giving everyone the same problem-solving method.

But the money issue we encounter is never just a question of numbers.
‘Consumption due to anxiety’
'A shopping cart that makes you feel even lonelier because you're alone',
'Card statements that make you feel shabby',
And the feeling of ‘nothing getting better in the future’…
All of this can be solved with financial technology,
It had to start with ‘the power to understand and care for my life.’

In that respect, this book
than 'economic performance'
I wanted to write with a focus on 'emotional maturity'.

I look into my emotions through the flow of my money,
I meet my unconscious through my consumption,
Finding the direction of life I want through my records

This whole process is the beginning of 'spending money my way',
Because it's a very small but powerful change that helps me find my center again in life.
