Into the book
To those who hope that their obesity will be cured with a single phrase, “Don’t eat hamburgers,” or to those who blindly believe rumors that special foods or slimming devices are the panacea for obesity, I want to inform you that “strictly speaking, the success rate for treating obesity is less than 5%.”

--- p.5

You should choose a low-intensity aerobic full-body exercise that suits your circumstances and do it consistently.
Walking for just one hour (7,000 to 8,000 steps) a day can burn 300 to 400 kcal.
If possible, brisk walking or light jogging is recommended.
And you should try to avoid stress as much as possible.
One thing to keep in mind here is that there are no specific exercises that specifically target belly fat.

--- p.54

Considering our country's traditional dietary structure, Koreans actually lack protein.
Therefore, even while dieting, you should consume enough protein food at least once a day.
However, excessive protein intake through a meat-based diet can also cause various adult diseases, so caution is advised.

--- p.109

It's easy to assume that people, at least obese people, tend to eat more when they're stressed because their appetite increases.
However, several studies have shown that stress and appetite do not have a consistent relationship.

--- p.172

When losing weight, what we need to lose is not the weight itself, but the body fat content.
Smoking is known to increase body fat, especially abdominal fat, regardless of weight gain or loss.
Therefore, the proportion of lean body mass (muscle, bone, etc.) decreases relatively, and smoking specifically causes muscle atrophy, decreased muscle strength, and osteoporosis.

Publisher's Review
* What you need to lose is not weight, but body fat!
* Beyond a cosmetic diet, a medically correct obesity treatment method!

Dieting is a major concern for modern people.
Even cultures like Korea, which mainly eat relatively light food, cannot be free from obesity and dieting.
This is because modern people absolutely lack exercise, and the unbalanced Western diet is becoming the norm.
As a result, the age group suffering from adult diseases is getting younger, and many people are consistently interested in losing weight.

However, it is difficult to secure enough time to diet properly.
So I'm crazy about simpler diet methods.
Numerous diets have been created, including the Emperor Diet, the Alcohol Diet, the Grape Diet, the Cycle Diet, and the One Meal a Day Diet, with their effectiveness difficult to objectively prove.
Of course, these diet methods have limitations.
The overall nutritional balance is destroyed, and because it focuses only on short-term weight loss, it is not very helpful for long-term weight maintenance.

So, the author is giving advice on proper dieting by citing cases of patients he has encountered so far, with the intention of reminding us of the basics.
For example, there are common basics such as not overeating and exercise is a good medicine.
With this in mind, we focus on the basics that everyone can agree on to maintain a balanced body for life without side effects.
There is a saying that the more urgent it is, the more you should turn back.
And that's actually a shortcut.

* Diet know-how with real-life examples!
* Korean-style obesity treatment method to lose weight without the yo-yo effect!

The author has consistently written books on obesity and dieting, collecting real-life examples.
In particular, the author sought to reflect a fundamental, long-term diet plan that fully incorporates medical opinions, rather than a simple cosmetic diet, and this book remains faithful to those fundamentals.
This is not a makeshift diet, but a systematic diet that takes health into consideration to lose belly fat.

A diet with a solid foundation is the best way to maintain health and beauty without the yo-yo effect.
To this end, the author introduces medical theories and various diet tips, and provides specific examples.
The appendix introduces essential knowledge about diet and carbohydrates, and also includes useful information such as how to make diet juice and recommended diet plans.
In that respect, this book will be perfect for readers to start a proper diet.
