Into the book
Growing up in the countryside, I got to see and observe a lot of plants and came to like them.
Even now, I still tend to my plants and observe the plants around me whenever I go for a walk.
Plants may seem to grow slowly, but they can grow up to be fully grown before you know it.
Just as the flowers and fruits that bloom in the same spot every year without fail greet me, saying they are glad to see me again this year, as I watch the process of leaves growing, flowers blooming, and fruits bearing, I reflect on the providence of nature and myself living within it, and realize the meaning of life.
Plants are such affectionate beings who ask about my well-being and give me comfort and enlightenment.
My paintings mainly feature plants that can be easily seen around us.
I consider discovering the happiness and preciousness of everyday life to be an important value in life, and so I created a coloring book by collecting the plant drawings I have drawn so far.
It is composed of a complete and simple design that can be drawn with various tools.
The book was completed primarily with watercolors, but feel free to color it however you like with whatever tools you prefer.
I hope this will be a time to focus and have fun filling in the colors one by one.
