An intermediate debate textbook that allows you to learn essential debate skills with passages on a variety of topics.
This textbook, the first in the Intermediate Debate series, is designed to help students improve their English debating skills by reading passages on a variety of topics and learning essential debate skills. It consists of a main text and a workbook.
This book consists of 5 chapters and 10 units, and each unit is divided into two areas, A and B.
Unit A is designed to help you read the given passage, think about the topic, and organize your own opinions using the Sample Opinion and Debate Skills covered in the Chapter. Unit B is designed to help you discuss your opinions using the content of your organized opinions and then summarize the content.
The workbook provided as a book-within-a-book can be used as an assignment to prepare for discussion, such as organizing opinions and gathering materials. The MP3 files provided via QR code contain recordings of all texts and sample opinions.
Through this textbook, students can develop their critical thinking skills and gain confidence in debate by organizing their opinions on various topics and practicing logical arguments.
