Into the book
In order to show and help children understand difficult books that are not suitable for their level, all kinds of activities were used.
I think it would be better to read interesting Korean picture books appropriate for the child's level during that time.
The younger your child is, the better it is to read helpful English books, but you should also read more interesting Korean books.
The Internet is a paradise of activities.
I don't know how much one book can do.
But are picture books really teaching materials? At first, I was so impressed by the colorful activities that I gave it a try.
Of course, it may have a flashy effect at the time, but if you look closely, it seems that there are more cases where it was just a visible activity.
There was no need to do it unconditionally, and honestly, I didn't have time to do it.
Starting with the main expressions in English books, it seems like more and more content is being added that is honestly difficult even for adults to handle.
It's not just the mother's way, there are many cases where the mother is worse than the academy teacher.
Is your mom a teacher? Your mom is your mom.
She is a good mother.
Even if you hold your child in your arms and read a book during those times, the effect is similar or even better.
I believe that a mother's warm voice, gestures, and footsteps, as well as the everyday play she does with her child, have a more powerful educational effect.
And for those of you who have read the entire book and want to review it, I have something to say.
Rather than asking about the sentences, words, or who did what in the book, children are more likely to benefit from responses like, “Was it fun? Was it sad? What part made you sad? Isn’t this really pretty?” _Author ID: As You Wish (pp. 54-55)

My child's school tests his English level and also does AR, and his friends are surprised when they see his level.
You don't even go to an academy, so how can you read such a high-level book?
Even now, my child's biggest pride is, "I don't go to academies."
I can't hate English if I study by lying around at home and reading books.
After diligently completing the Jamsune program, if you take the test at a different academy with a friend who attended an English kindergarten, most of the Jamsune children's results are surprisingly high.
This is something I have also experienced.
If you think about who will have more fun and happier learning English in the future, even if their grades are similar, whether it's a child with a special talent for English or a very diligent child, it's probably the Jamsoo children.
Compared to children who had to learn English out of a sense of duty, with homework and classes from a very young age, you'll be happy just imagining your child enjoying English and excelling at it in a more fun way, and even relaxing with an English book. _Author ID: aroma (pages 56-57)

Above all, I want to tell you that it's never too late to start learning English seriously in elementary school, so just have fun with it.
That's also the fastest way.
And another important thing along with fun is the quality of the Korean book.
When considering English, consider the level of Korean books.
I think Korean and English books are sticking together because they are mutually intelligible.
The higher your Korean level, the faster your English progress will be.
Don't think of it as just English, but since it's the same language, raise the level of your Korean books.
It will shorten the time it takes to study English.
English is a long-term game, so I hope you don't get tired or hate it.
My eldest child was obsessed with Roald Dahl's works and the "Ahhh" series when he was in second grade, and now that I bought him the original copies of those books, he's looking at them with sparkling eyes.
For a while, I was very resistant to English, which made my mom suffer, but these days, I feel good because I seem to be slowly finding enjoyment in English books. _Author ID: Enjoyable English (Page 83)

The U.S. Embassy School has a long waiting list, especially for Koreans, so there is a one to two year waiting list, but there is a rule that gives priority to children who are good at English.
Although my older child was far behind on the waiting list, he got in right away, beating out American citizen children because of his excellent test scores.
When asked how I studied English, I said, “Do you know Jamsune?” and I said I studied Jamsune.
As soon as I entered school in August, I started to socialize with foreign children without hesitation and was always praised for my upright character and exemplary behavior.
After diligently preparing for his speech on his own, he was elected as class president and went to school happily like a fish in water.
Even to the Indian teacher who came to give private lessons, “English kindergartens are popular in Korea.
But our children have been diving.
I even said, “I think that learning English by focusing on reading books after mastering your native language is effective, and I have actually seen it work.” _Author ID: Youngwoo Seo’s Mom (Page 179)

Publisher's Review
Jamsune is the answer for our children's first English lessons!
For mothers who are at the starting point of lifelong, important English studies.
Everything You Need to Know About Preschool English from Jamsune's Experienced Moms

The English study method for preschool age children from [Jamsune Growing Up Children] (www.jamsune.com, hereinafter referred to as 'Jamsune'), the self-proclaimed number one education site in Korea, is revealed.
Since its publication in 2003, the unwavering bestseller [The Diving Method Series], chosen by 500,000 mothers, has finally brought to book the know-how of preschool English study that was not covered before, with the utmost care.

This "Jamsune Preschool English Study Method" is a new work that was published by Jamsune, which had maintained that it is not too late to start English education after elementary school, in consideration of the reality that the age at which children begin English education is getting younger and the concerns about the English education methods for young children in Korea.
With this book, readers can look into the trends and problems of the early childhood English education craze that has been blowing in our education market since the 1990s, the pros and cons of various educational methods such as English kindergartens/English workbooks/Mom's English/Phoenix learning, the stage-by-stage classification of Nobuyoung/Beoyoung/Moonjin English fairy tales, a realistic English road map that takes into account my child's level and inclination, and a list of the best English and Korean books that children can enjoy reading.

First revealed by Jamsune, Korea's leading education site
Key know-how in early childhood English education

Jamsune published “Jamsune’s Famous English Study Method for Children” in 2003 and did not place much emphasis on English for young children even after publishing a revised edition.
This is because I was confident that even if I started in elementary school, I could reach a level of skill that could be called 'successful' in six years.
But reality changed quickly.
As the saying goes that the younger your child is, the more effective English education is, many parents are worried that starting English at the age of five or six is too late.
Additionally, the number of parents of young children who immediately try to follow Jamsune's existing English study methods has increased.
Even though we repeatedly advised that the Jamsune English study method, which involves creating an English environment for three hours every day, was difficult to apply directly to young children, it was not enough to convince the parents who were already anxious.
The current reality is that it is difficult to postpone English education until after elementary school without a certain amount of determination.
"If we can't avoid it anyway, let's provide proper guidance!" This is why Jamsune publishes "Jamsune Preschool English Study Method."

The collective intelligence of mothers passionate about their children's education
Honest experiences shared by experienced mothers

Jamsune is a place where you can observe the growth process of many children from infants to high school students and their parents' educational methods.
That is why this new work also fully demonstrates the collective intelligence of Jamsune, which aims to develop children's skills without private education.
The book honestly and without reservations contains the diverse experiences of each parent, including children who attended English kindergartens for 1-3 years, children who received English classes at regular kindergartens, children who came from English-speaking countries, parents who enthusiastically participated in Pumasi English when they were young, parents who stayed up all night creating materials for after-reading activities, parents who used English workbooks for toddlers, and parents who tried the existing Jamsune English with their toddlers.
In addition, since Jamsune has 16 years of data, including daily learning content and a list of books read, of a three or four year old child growing up until graduating from high school, it is possible to examine the results of these experiences.
Based on that data, "Jamsune's Preschool English Study Method" meticulously examines what is important and what is not in early childhood English education.

Maintain the principles of existing English study methods,
Suggested English road maps for 5/6/7 year olds

The existing English study method of the submarine can be summarized as follows: “When I felt I had listened enough, I started speaking and reading, and when I felt I had read enough, I started writing in English.”
Under the guidance of their mothers, they listen to English DVDs at home (watching videos without subtitles or listening to audiobooks without the book), and when they have accumulated enough, they start listening intently (opening an English book and listening to the audio CD while pointing to it with their fingers or a pencil). When they have accumulated enough, they start reading English books on their own.
Additionally, speaking and writing skills develop to a level where you can persuade others in English.
This type of English study method has gained a reputation as a "proven English learning method" as more and more people have successfully improved their English skills using the same method, and over the past 10 years, this has become a standard for learning English.
《Jamsune Preschool English Study Method》 maintains the principles of the existing Jamsune English study method, but focuses on forming an attachment with the mother, developing a reading habit, and stimulating interest in English, which are the most important things to do during infancy.
To this end, we suggest the following as mandatory courses: 1) [Reading a lot of Korean books], 2) [Listening to English songs and listening to DVDs], and as optional courses: 3) [Reading English picture books], 4) [Easy focused listening], and 5) [Reading easy books].
The goal of these courses is to help you become familiar with books, become familiar with English sounds, and experience the fun of reading English books.

The roadmap for 5/6/7 year olds is divided into [Basic Course (Getting Started)], [Basic+ Course], [Quick Course], and [Special Course] depending on the child's level and tendency.
Each roadmap contains detailed guidance and efficient time allocation for five stages, from 1) [Reading a lot of Korean books] to 5) [Reading easy books].

Reading Korean books and English picture books

The first thing that is emphasized in “Jamsune’s Preschool English Study Method” is Korean books.
The basic philosophy of Jamsune is that English proficiency is inevitably proportional to one's native language proficiency.
That is why we at Jamsune recommend reading to children in middle and high school.
In particular, we emphasize that even for bright children who can read Korean books on their own after learning Korean, it is emotionally important for parents to read books to their children during their early childhood.
It also emphasizes that developing native language vocabulary and thinking skills is the way to build the basic physical strength to be good at English.
He also gives advice that the biggest reason to read Korean picture books at this age is to help children discover the joy of books and make them lifelong friends.
The best Korean book list of books that Jamsune children like is organized in [Part 5] of Jamsune Preschool English Study Method.

In "Jamsune Preschool English Study Method," considering the reality that English study will have to continue for more than 10 years, reading English picture books is introduced as a good way to improve English skills while maintaining interest in English and also to form an attachment with the mother, and the '500 English Picture Book Reading Project' is proposed as a goal task.
To this end, we introduce the addresses of bookstores/rental stores/libraries where you can get English books, as well as a warm-up/step 1/step 2 roadmap, 10 guides for when your child dislikes English picture books, and a list of 500 English picture books by level.

[Part 5] introduces Korean books by topic that children aged 5 to 7 will enjoy.

《Jamsune's Preschool English Study Method》 is honest advice from Jamsune, a proven English study method that is gaining attention, to parents of younger generations from the perspective of a parent who has raised elementary, middle, and high school children.
We've carefully examined the various early childhood English education methods currently being tried to determine whether they are right for your child and included a roadmap for preschoolers to follow with enjoyment.
"Jamsune Preschool English Study Method" will be a practical help to parents of young children who tend to become anxious when they see their children speaking English, so that they can think about English education with their children at the center.
