Publisher's Review
Recently, World Tea News, a global tea news magazine, announced the major coffee and tea trends in the United States for 2021 based on data from the American Coffee Association and the American Tea Association.
There is a trend analysis this year that is causing a lot of buzz, showing that even in the United States, where seven out of ten people drink coffee every week and 60% of them drink coffee every day, traditional coffee consumers are now starting to really enjoy tea and are starting to drink it.

Also, The Times (Indian edition), a leading tea producer in the world, predicted that the wellness industry will grow significantly in the future based on its analysis of tea trends this year, while 'organic tea' will show a particularly strong global presence, and the food industry that uses tea in cooking will also grow significantly.

In Korea, as tea has recently been recognized as a 'superfood' for wellness, along with the leisure of a cup of tea, people's interest in its health benefits has increased significantly, and new tea consumption trends such as 'afternoon tea', 'brunch time', 'milk tea', 'herbal tea', and 'kombucha' are continuously emerging.

Meanwhile, the Korea Tea Sommelier Institute, a tea expert training institute, will publish a revised and updated edition of “THE TEA BOOK _ Tea Book,” a translated book of the winner of the ‘BEST TEA PUBLICATION’ award at the 2017 WORLD TEA EXPO by the world-renowned British publisher DK, “a basic introduction to tea for ‘tea beginners,’ ‘tea enthusiasts,’” on July 25.

This book introduces the definition of tea through the difference between 'tea' and 'tisane', which are easily confused by the general public, and explains the world's tea producing regions, tea tree cultivation and varieties, teas with unique characteristics due to terroir, tea history and culture from around the world, and blended tea, using color photos and gorgeous illustrations. It was planned so that even beginners and 'tea connoisseurs' can easily understand.

In particular, episodes that have been hidden and not well known in the history of tea provide great interest in tea, and at the same time, as tea is the second most consumed beverage after water today, it provides a rich and extensive knowledge corresponding to that.

Additionally, as the wellness craze is a global trend, it introduces over 100 recipes that can be enjoyed by varying tea and tisane or by cooking them into food, so that ordinary people can make and enjoy them in their daily lives.

Meanwhile, there have been countless changes in the domestic tea world. At one time, green tea in tea bags was the main drink around us, but over the past 10 years, there has been a huge shift in consumption trends, especially among the younger generation. Now, consumption of black tea, herbal tea, blended tea, variation tea, milk tea, and tea cocktails has become a daily occurrence. This book will be a 'friendly introduction' above all else for 'Charin-i', a beginner in tea.

I hope this book will be of great help to those who are new to the world of tea and tisane, as well as those who are already interested in and enjoying them, in understanding the vast world of tea and tisane.
