This book clearly explains how to make children familiar with books.
The idea is to read to your child for 15 minutes a day, from when he or she is in the womb until he or she turns fourteen.
You might ask why I read to a grown child, but that's because a child's listening and reading levels only become the same around the age of fourteen.
Until then, there was a significant difference in the child's listening and reading levels, so even stories that were difficult for the child to understand when reading on his or her own were understandable when read to him or her.

Reading to a child plants seeds of sounds, syllables, endings, and consonants in their ears (and brains) to help them learn to read easily, fall in love with it, and practice that love throughout their lives.
Moreover, since reading is the foundation of all learning, reading aloud is the most effective (and cheapest) educational tool than any other tool, such as flashcards, worksheets, assignments, or tests.

This book introduces the benefits of reading to others, examples proving this, and methods for raising children to become lifelong readers.
In other words, it explains, step by step, specific methods for enjoying the joy of reading to children, such as why you should read to your child, when and how long you should read to him/her, in what order, what to do and what not to do when reading to him/her, and how to guide independent reading (as a companion to reading to him/her), based on pleasant anecdotes and research.
