What is happening in Namgo's classroom right now?
Their daily lives and thoughts as seen through the eyes of a 27-year veteran teacher.
This is the story of teenage boys as seen through the eyes of a current teacher.
The film vividly depicts the state of today's youth, who have become a source of worry for adults amidst the wave of right-wing extremism among young people.
It shows the points at which teenagers today are angry, resigned, excited, and disgusted, and connects them to various issues that have stirred up our society.
The book is divided into four parts.
Parts 1 and 2 depict the lives of children these days, which adults are unaware of, and reflect the ugly aspects of the older generation.
Next, in Part 3, which can be considered the core of the book, the aspects of ability-based, competitive, hierarchical, hatred, and discrimination are depicted without reservation.
In particular, we can get a glimpse of their biased thinking that views the world from a slanted perspective, from blind 'anti-feminism' to the recently spreading 'Sinophobia'.
YouTube is immediately identified as the main cause, but more fundamentally, it is the responsibility of our entire society, which has fostered limitless competition and the values of each person for himself.
That is why the reflection of the older generation is emphasized first.
In Part 4, the author gives the children a 'reflection paper' and expresses his hope that they will discuss it together.
This can be called the 'Report on the Top 10 Male Teenagers of the Republic of Korea', which shows a glimpse into the future generation that will lead our society.
The author's hope that this book will be used as an "antibiotic" and his appeal that we do not have much time resonate deeply.

It is easy to predict that it will become a jungle-like place where the law of the jungle prevails, much worse than it is now.
In such a society, virtues such as empathy, consideration, respect, and tolerance are likely to be dismissed as relics of an old era.
A far-right storm is blowing both at home and abroad.
It is a situation where power is growing and solidarity is being achieved on a transnational level.
Moreover, the right-wing phenomenon appears to be strengthening as it spreads from those in their 20s to those in their teens, that is, to the younger generation.
But who can point a finger at these children?
The "tilted classroom," which the author describes as "a landscape teeming with the far right," is nothing less than a microcosm of our society.
There, the distorted world that adults have created and are living in is recreated.
The questions and answers about the sharp issues in our society, such as the doctors' strike, the disabled people's protests, disaster preparedness, the nursing law controversy, feminism, and anti-Chinese sentiment, convey a tense atmosphere.

It captures the daily lives and thoughts of children attending a humanities high school in a provincial metropolitan city from an observer's perspective without any editing.

The far right is a concept that originated from political ideology, but in education, it refers to a phenomenon in which people are accustomed to dichotomous thinking, are hostile to others, and advocate hatred and discrimination against the weak.
At first glance, they may seem unrelated, but things that children take for granted, such as 'test-based ability', materialism, and the craze for dental chairs, are symptoms of extreme right-wing extremism.
At the center of it all is YouTube.
Confirmation bias is becoming more entrenched in the mechanism called algorithm.
The common analysis from all walks of life is that Yoon Seok-yeol's 'delusion' of inciting civil war also originated from far-right YouTube.
I'm scared, but now it's the children's turn.

Only 'slow' reading can cure YouTube addiction and stop the tsunami of right-wing extremism.
During the 'January 19 Western District Court Riot', a teenager was arrested on charges of arson and was sentenced to the maximum sentence allowed by law in the first trial.
As I heard the devastating news, the images of the children I met during class came to mind.
