About the Author
Into the book
° The moment you throw away those tools and trust the zero limits within you, real miracles happen.
---p.14
° The point of this book is to return to a 'zero state' where nothing exists but everything is possible.
In the zero state, no thoughts, no words, no actions, no memories, no stereotypes, no beliefs, nothing exists.
It is literally a 'state of nothing'.
---p.16
° “Ho’oponopono is the process of releasing the toxic energy within us so that our sacred thoughts, words, deeds, and actions can be effective.” ---p.24
° Life is a mystery.
Only love knows everything.
What more could you need?
I can only be grateful for love, the source of all blessings.
---p.27
° Ho'oponopono training teaches people how to find their own identity and resolve issues in each moment, and how to be reborn and recharged with love.
… The premise underlying this training must be that ‘all responsibility lies entirely with me.’
Everything that happens in your life is your responsibility, no matter what it is!
Modern Ho'oponopono truly shines as you encounter a renewed self at every moment and the miracle of love repeats itself with each step you take.
---p.28
° “Ho’oponopono sees problems as opportunities, not challenges.
The problem is that memories of the past are just being replayed.
“We have the opportunity to see the problem through the eyes of love and act differently.” ---p.30
° Peace begins with me.
The problem is the memories that are playing in my subconscious.
---p.37
° Ho'oponopono is about releasing memories from our unconscious that tell us that problems are not within us but exist 'outside' us.
---p.39
° My life is entirely my responsibility because everything in my life is within my life.
Taking full responsibility for my life means that everything I see, hear, taste, touch, and experience is my responsibility.
Because they all exist ‘in my life’.
Whether it's terrorists, the president, or the economy, I'm responsible for healing everything I don't like.
So to speak, they exist only as projections within me, so the problem is not with them, but with me.
To change them, I must first change myself.
---p.44
° Just as I need to heal my life first if I want to improve my life, if I want to heal someone, even if they are a mentally ill criminal, I need to heal myself first before I can heal them.
---p.45
° That was it.
Loving myself is the best way to improve myself, and improving myself can improve my world.
---p.45
° There are two ways to live life.
Do you live by memory or by inspiration?
…the only way to hear the voice of God and be inspired is to clear all your memories.
What you need to do is purify.
---p.52
° What Dr. Hugh Len was trying to teach me was to continually purify all thoughts, whether inspiration or memory, to facilitate right choices.
---p.62
° The urge to overeat was a memory, not an inspiration.
It was not divine, but came from memory.
At the time, I was ignoring and suppressing that memory.
But Dr. Hugh Len advised us to love our memories rather than just suppress them.
Until the memories fade and only the divine remains.
---p.63
° Ho'oponopono is a process of forgiveness, repentance, and transformation.
The moment we accept it, we always take full responsibility and ask for forgiveness—for ourselves.
And we come to realize that everything that appears in our lives is nothing more than a projection of memories.
---p.68
° “Ho’oponopono is really simple.
Ancient Hawaiians believed that all problems originate in thoughts.
But thinking itself is not the problem.
So what's the problem? All my thoughts are tainted by painful memories.
“Memories of people, places, and things.” ---p.70
° You don't need to know what the problem or error is to do Ho'oponopono.
Whether it's physical pain, mental distress, or emotional distress, all you have to do is recognize what you're experiencing.
Once detected, the next step is to begin purification.
---p.71
° To solve any problem, look back at yourself.
Even when you think the problem lies with someone else, ask yourself first:
If someone comes into your life and bothers you, ask yourself what it is inside you that makes them bother you.
If you understand that, you can improve any situation.
How is this possible? It's simple.
In any situation, say 'I'm sorry.'
It's saying, 'Please forgive me.'
---p.73
° We are all pure beings.
Pure here means a state in which there is no program or memory, not even inspiration.
That's the zero state.
---p.74
° Saying 'I love you' - this is the key that opens the door to healing.
But you have to use it on yourself, not on others.
Other people's problems are your problems.
---p.75
° It's not them who need healing, it's you.
You have to heal yourself.
Because you are the source of all experience.
This is the essence of modern Ho'oponopono healing.
---p.76
° For example, if you sense something unpleasant in another person, you also have it inside you.
When that happens, it is your job to purify it.
When you purify it within yourself, it will leave others as well.
---p.78
° This method does not always give immediate results.
The important thing is not to get results, but to find peace.
When you focus on peace, you often get the results you initially wanted.
---p.86
° If you want to improve something in your life, whether it's financial issues or your relationships, there's only one place to look: within yourself.
---p.88
° So the thing to keep in mind to stay awake is to ask questions.
'Who am I?' Your personality is made up of these elements of the mind.
But this very heart is empty.
This mind is zero.
So who are you? You are divine beings.
That's zero.
But why should it be in zero state?
In the zero state, anything is possible! Everything! ---p.110
° If you have a dispute with someone, it's not because of them.
Memory is at work.
What we are dealing with is that memory.
We are fighting against that very memory.
That's not him.
---p.111
° The problem is not with people, places, or situations, but with our thoughts about them.
---p.194
° The more transparent I become, the more transparent the people around me become.
But this was a difficult fact to accept.
Because it is easier to want to change the outside than the inside.
---p.198
° Most people don't know the true meaning of responsibility.
People love to blame.
But as we grow older and learn more, we realize that we are responsible for our words and actions.
If you overcome one more hurdle, you will realize that other people's words and actions are also your own responsibility.
The reason is simple.
Because even other people's words and actions are part of your own experience.
Everything you see, even the parts you hate, is your own creation.
---p.200
° According to Ho'oponopono, the only way is to purify yourself.
All I can do is purify myself.
Because when I am purified, they are purified too.
---p.204
° Dr. Hugh Len explains that there are three elements in the short phrase, “I love you,” that can change anything.
Gratitude, respect, change.
“Those words are like magic, unlocking the universe.” ---p.212
° The only choice in life is whether to purify or not.
“Whether you live by memory or by inspiration, that is all.” ---p.214
° But now I know.
Free will itself is a memory that binds us! If you're in a state of zero, there are no limits, so just do what's there.
That's it.
---p.215
° When you do your part and I do mine, the world goes smoothly.
But when you try to be me and I try to be you, problems arise.
---p.216
° When you give love, change happens.
When you think smoking is bad, smoking is bad.
Hamburgers are bad when you think they're bad.
As was the case in ancient Hawaiian culture, everything begins with thought, and the greatest healer is love.
---p.236
° Nothing exists outside.
It's all in me.
Whatever we experience happens within us.
---p.238
° You see them within yourself.
Everything is processed within you.
If you don't deal with it, it doesn't exist.
---p.239
° Everything begins and ends with this one magical word.
all
"i love you."
In this way, the path to Zero Limits opens.
I love you.
---p.264
° It doesn't matter what the situation is.
Your inner state is important.
It all begins and ends with just one beautiful word.
i love you.
---p.273
° To solve a problem, you must first ask two questions:
Who am I?
Whose responsibility is it?
---p.14

In the zero state, no thoughts, no words, no actions, no memories, no stereotypes, no beliefs, nothing exists.

Publisher's Review
Solving all the imbalances and problems of daily life
Hawaiian Problem Solving: Ho'oponopono
"I'm sorry," "I love you," "Please forgive me," "Thank you."
Four Words Can Change Your Life
The book 『Ho'oponopono Secrets』 (original title: Zero Limits: The Secret Hawaiian System for Wealth, Health, Peace and More) has been published by Panmidong, introducing the principles of 'Ho'oponopono', a traditional problem-solving method of the native Hawaiians, and containing vivid testimonies of people who have experienced great changes in their lives and problem-solving through it.
The traditional Hawaiian problem-solving method, 'Ho'oponopono', means 'to set right' or 'to correct an error'.
Ho'o means 'cause' in Hawaiian, and Ponopono means 'perfection'.
According to ancient Hawaiians, errors arise from thoughts stained with painful memories of the past.
Ho'oponopono is a process that helps us release the energy of these painful thoughts—the errors that cause imbalance, disease, and the many problems and struggles of everyday life—so that our words and actions can function optimally.
The Miracle of the Psychiatric Ward at Hawaii State General Hospital
_ Meet the world's most eccentric psychotherapist, Dr. Hugh Len.
The authors of this book are Joe Vitale and Ihareakara Hugh Len.
More precisely, it mainly features Joe Vitale introducing a person named Dr. Ihareakara Hugh Len and the process of psychotherapy through 'Ho'oponopono'.
Their relationship began when Joe, curious about Dr. Hugh Len, sent him an email, and the letters and notes exchanged between them after that first email also form a major part of the book.
Joe Vitale, who has established himself as a power leader in the American internet marketing industry through the audio program 'The Power of Outrageous Marketing' and the best-selling book 'The Attractor Factor', is also the creator of a new marketing technique called 'Spiritual Marketing'.
The name of the company he represents is also 'Hypnotic Marketing, Inc.'
Given this background, it was perhaps natural that I would be intrigued by the story of Dr. Hugh Len, who successfully treated criminals in mental hospitals using only Hawaiian methods without ever meeting or examining the patients in person.
He first heard of Dr. Hugh Len's story and after two years of searching, he finally found him.
And based on the results of my interviews with him and email interviews, I started posting articles introducing Dr. Hugh Len and Ho'oponopono on my website.
The article quickly became a hot topic on the Internet, becoming a hot topic on Internet discussion boards and reaching countless people.
The story of the psychiatric ward at the Hawaii State General Hospital, which is the most surprising part for those who hear the story of Dr. Hugh Len and Ho'oponopono, is this.
Dr. Hugh Len worked as a clinical psychologist in a high-security, controlled-area ward 20 hours per week from 1984 to 1987.
When Dr. Hugh Len arrived in 1984, most of the patients in isolation in the restricted area had criminal records for murder, rape, drug use, and violence.
Despite the routine use of metal bracelets and shackles to prevent violence within the wards, assaults between patients and by patients on staff occurred frequently.
People would often press their backs against the wall as they passed through the ward, fearing that patients would pounce on them, and psychoanalysts would often quit after less than a month.
Employees were habitually taking sick leave, and some even quit altogether.
It was by no means a pleasant place to live, work, or visit.
It was extremely rare for family members to visit patients in the ward, and patients were not allowed to leave the isolation ward without written permission from their doctor, and even if they did, they had to wear bracelets or shackles.
Not only were there no rehabilitation programs or other activities within the ward, but there was also no play or work allowed outside the ward.
So, how did the ward look different three years later, in 1987, when Dr. Hugh Len left the hospital?
In the ward, isolation rooms disappeared, and the bracelets and shackles that patients used to wear were no longer used.
Patients were allowed to move around freely, and those who had been taking strong medications were taking less.
Outdoor leisure activities such as jogging or tennis, and labor such as washing cars were carried out without doctor's permission or wearing bracelets and shackles.
Baking bread and shining shoes were added to the patients' daily routine within the ward, and the number of visits from family members increased.
Chronic absenteeism and staff turnover have disappeared, and the time it takes for patients to be admitted and discharge has plummeted from years to months.
In the end, as the number of patients being discharged increased, there were more staff than needed, but every single one of them showed up to work.
It is said that the ward gradually lost its reason for existence and is now closed.
Behind this transformation in the ward where 'mentally ill criminals' were isolated was Dr. Hugh Len's 'Ho'oponopono'.
As a clinical psychologist in the ward, all he did was practice 'Ho'oponopono of repentance, forgiveness and transformation.'
Even before going to the ward, while in the ward, and outside the ward, I put into practice the purification treatment of the inner self that was causing problems, whether consciously or unconsciously - the imperfect elements such as memories that were repulsive and replayed, memories of judgment, anger, rage, and irritation.
He never once treated or provided psychotherapy to patients in the ward.
He did not even attend the patient case study meeting.
However, as a psychiatrist, he took 100% responsibility for and 'purified' the things inside himself that were causing problems.
He said he simply looked at the patients' records and carried out the healing work.
As soon as he started the healing process on his own, the patients began to get better.
So, what exactly is Ho'oponopono?
● Ho'oponopono: Righting the Wrong
_ Peace begins with me
'Ho'oponopono' is, in a word, a healing process that removes the distorted memories that bring pain and anxiety to humans and returns them to the 'Zerolimits' state where they can start anew.
This process is also referred to in this book as 'U Cleaning'.
This purification process is a process that leads to wealth, health, and ultimately peace and happiness.
"The Secret of Ho'oponopono" is a book that teaches you the purification method step by step.
The book faithfully captures the experiences of author Joe Vitale, who has experienced incredible transformations through inner purification and inspiration, as well as the testimonies of many people who have experienced the miracle of Ho'oponopono.
Ancient Hawaiians used a dynamic spiritual approach called Ho'oponopono as a means of letting go of the negative influences of past and present actions in their lives.
'Ho'oponopono', which can be summarized as the traditional problem-solving method of the native Hawaiians, means 'to set right' or 'to correct an error'.
Ho'o means 'cause' in Hawaiian, and Ponopono means 'perfection'.
This is SITH: Self Identity Through Hooponopono, a modern-day version of the book by Hawaiian traditional healer Ms. Morna Nalamaku Simeona*, and the "eccentric psychotherapist" Dr. Ihareakara Hugh Len, whom Joe Vitale met after his research, is a disciple of Ms. Simeona and a modern-day authority on Ho'oponopono.
* Mrs. Morna Nalamaku Simeona (1913-1992)
A traditional Hawaiian health practitioner who developed a training method that developed the tradition of Ho'oponopono.
He was the first Ho'oponopono instructor and has lectured on Ho'oponopono around the world, including to medical facilities and universities.
Only 3 UN invited lectures.
In 1983, his achievements were recognized by the Hawaii State Legislature and he was designated a "Living Treasure of Hawaii."
Ho'oponopono sees problems as opportunities, not challenges.
The problem is that memories of the past are just being replayed.
We have the opportunity to see the problem through the eyes of love and act differently.
The goal of modern Ho'oponopono is to see one's own being at its source - to forgive - to accept - to cherish - to know the nature of the 'problem' and to learn fundamental and everyday solutions at any level.
In short, it is a way to 'cleanse' yourself spiritually, mentally, and physically by going through the process of repentance, forgiveness, and transformation.
According to Dr. Hugh Len, the fundamental problem with humanity is that we do not know the truth about who we are.
In other words, we are losing our ‘self-identity.’
The essence of the Ho'oponopono process is to recover lost self-identity and know your true self.
Knowing yourself is the key that opens the door to the creative process.
Using the key of self-identity, we can come to know and experience alignment between our surface self and our inner self, alignment with the Divine Being.
“The cause of this stress (problem) lies within me.
The core of Ho'oponopono is asking the question, “What is inside me that is causing problems?”
Dr. Ihareakara Hugh Len, a modern-day Ho'oponopono authority and successor, explains that the simple words "I love you" contain three elements that can solve any problem.
Gratitude, respect, and change are the things.
The simplest way to purify yourself is to say to yourself and to the Divine:
Saying, 'I'm sorry,' 'I love you,' 'Please forgive me,' and 'Thank you.'
The four-word mantra of Ho'oponopono not only helps resolve problems by clearing stagnant energy, but also serves as a mystical key to attracting wealth, health, peace, and happiness.
