Into the book
Being born again over and over again is like being in school and failing a grade and having to go back to the same grade again.
However, attending the same grade once or twice does not exempt you from taking the entrance exam for the next grade.
You must take the exam again and pass it to advance to the next higher grade.
(…) The same goes for the law of karma.
If we end our lives without resolving the karma given to us in that life, that karma remains and we wait for the next life, which may or may not be the case.
It never goes away.
Resolving it will give you another chance to expend your karma.
--- p.14
There is a claim that 'if a human does a lot of bad things, he or she will be born as an animal in the next life.'
To put it bluntly, this is not true.
Humans cannot become animals.
It is impossible for a human being with the ability to think to descend to the level of the animal kingdom, which does not have the ability to think.
And if you commit a sin, you should pay the price in the human world, so why do you go down to the animal world?
--- p.58~59
I was killed by someone in my past life.
According to the law of karma, I can kill him in this life to repay that karma.
So, in this life, an environment that can kill him naturally arises.
However, I have decided to end the creation of further karma, and I renounce using my free will to kill my enemies from my past life.
You can go one step further and forgive your enemy.
Then the karma associated with it will be extinguished.
This is how we use our free will to transcend karma.
--- p.133
It is said that the suffering and obstacles we experience in this life may be preparation for the future.
So, what I am saying is that I intentionally create an unfortunate environment for myself in my next life, regardless of my previous life's karma.
Being disabled is also one of the unfortunate circumstances.
Even though I did nothing in my previous life to deserve the karmic consequences of a physical disability, I was born with that disability in mind.
--- p.189
Looking at it this way, the questions, "Why on earth was I born into this world?", "Life is hard and seems meaningless, and it seems like everything will end when I die, so why should I live?", can be said to be wrong.
Instead, we must seriously ask ourselves, “What is the challenge I need to solve in this life?” and go “all in” to find the answer.
This work will have to be done until the end of my life.
It doesn't matter when you start this task.
It's never too late.
This is the goal of our life.
--- p.227
Ultimately, the law of karma wants nothing more than for our souls to grow.
In particular, it guides us toward becoming morally sound people.
(…) This is what all the world’s higher religions have consistently argued.
All world religions have emphasized good deeds and taught us to forgive and love everyone.
But to do this, you need to know the law of karma.
However, attending the same grade once or twice does not exempt you from taking the entrance exam for the next grade.

“The best way to escape the hamster wheel of life is to know and resolve karma.

Following Professor Choi Jun-sik's lectures on death studies and death studies,
3 Life Lessons You Need to Hear Before It's Too Late
The Karma Story You Must Know If You Want to Live Happier Than Yesterday
A student who passed away in an unexpected accident while walking home from school as usual, a parent who lost their child in a sudden car accident right before their eyes, a person who was born with a disability or suddenly contracted an incurable disease one day…
We often encounter inexplicable pain and trials in the news and around us.
Why do some people have bad luck and others have good luck?
Is a successful and happy life determined before birth?
"The Karma Lecture You Must Hear Before It's Too Late" answers this question.
The author, Professor Choi Jun-sik, is a Korean scholar, religious scholar, and authority on thanatology who has studied the life, death, and culture of Koreans for over 40 years. He founded the Korean Death Society and pioneered thanatology research in Korea, a country that was previously a wasteland for thanatology.
He has communicated with many readers by spreading the study of death for a happy and dignified life through books such as “A Lecture on Death Studies You Must Take Before It’s Too Late” and “A Lecture on End-of-Life Studies You Must Take Before It’s Too Late.”
And this time, he has published "Karma Lectures You Must Hear Before It's Too Late," which contains the laws that will help you complete your true self beyond life and death, and guides us to understand what happens to us and realize the tasks we must solve in life.
From now on, I would like to talk to you about 'karma'.
Karma means everything a human does.
Karma is a ‘cause’ that inevitably produces a certain ‘result’.
This book is about the karma we humans create and the 'Law of Karma' that operates without a single error and guides our lives.
The law of karma is something that anyone who wants to achieve true happiness in life must know.
If you want to find true happiness within yourself, rather than trying to achieve it by pandering to the world and acquiring wealth or status, you must know this.

The evidence and principles of karma, its reasons and how it works, and the secrets of past and future lives.
As you comfortably turn the pages of the book, as if exchanging questions and answers, you will come to understand the purpose and direction of life through the law of karma that flows powerfully around us.
The secret of birth and death, happiness and unhappiness, growth and suffering
On the Law of Karma That Leads Us to True Freedom
When we see someone who commits evil deeds, we often say, “That person will receive retribution someday.”
However, the author points out that this expression is not accurate.
Karma is the cause that brings about results in the future.
All words, actions, and thoughts of humans are karma.
Reward is the result (fruit) of karma.
Therefore, it is correct to say, “You will receive the reward.”
The essence of the law of karma is that karma is the cause and creates the result.
According to the law of karma, every situation you find yourself in is a result of your own past choices.
If you commit good karma, you will receive good results, and if you commit bad karma, you will receive bad results.
So, no matter how painful and difficult it is, there is no reason to blame anyone.
However, the law of karma is not a law of punishment.
It simply creates the optimal conditions for the person concerned to eliminate the numerous karmas he has accumulated and resolve the task.
Knowing what challenges you have brought with you will give you an answer to how to live in the given environment.
To do this, it is most important to understand how the law of karma works and to know my karma.
The law of karma creates optimal conditions for me to eliminate the numerous karmas I have accumulated and solve my problems.
No matter how difficult or unpleasant the current situation may be, there is always a message that the law of karma is trying to convey.
It is guiding humanity towards the final destination it must ultimately reach.
_In the text
The author emphasizes that “the law of karma is always on my side.”
No matter what situation we face now, the law of karma is creating the best environment for us.
To live a meaningful and happy life, you must figure out your assignment for this life and understand the law of karma as soon as possible.
This book guides us into the world of the law of karma so that we can break free from the bondage of ignorance and become truly free.
Why was I born? What is the cause of the misfortune that plagues me?
Is luck innate? Can the future be predicted?
Knowing karma allows you to change your life at any time.
■ Can the Law of Karma Be Proven?
It is difficult to understand the law of karma through human daily consciousness.
Through meditation, we must calm our consciousness and bring it to a state of tranquility.
This is why Hinduism and Buddhism, which have greatly developed these meditation traditions, preach the law of karma.
In modern times, the law of karma is actively discussed in the West.
Edgar Cayce, who was hypnotizing himself and healing patients, discovered that some illnesses originated from past lives.
Dr. Brian Weiss also attempted to hypnotize a patient and discovered his past life.
Research on hypnosis and reincarnation, as well as numerous clinical cases, demonstrate that the law of karma operates in human life.
■ How should I understand the relationships surrounding me?
If you have accumulated karma with someone in a previous life, there is a high probability that you will be born as a close friend in this life to clear that karma.
For example, you may meet someone you have bullied and exploited as your parents in this life.
It is the law of karma that tells us to learn a lesson by receiving retribution.
If parents persecute their children at this time, the karma of both parties will continue, and there is a high possibility that they will meet again in the next life and continue a relationship of hatred.
However, if parents exercise insight, forgive their past grudges, and take good care of their children, the karma between them will disappear in this life.
■ If everything is predetermined, can we improve reality?
It can be clearly seen that the suffering of this life is the result of mistakes made in a previous life.
But the law of karma does not tell us to leave someone in distress.
Instead, it teaches that helping those in pain is the right path, the right way, that humans should follow.
Humans can only complete themselves by helping others.
The law of karma is neither deterministic nor fatalistic.
The law of karma is a 'moral' theory of causality.
■ How can I find my own calling?
Could one's occupation also be related to one's past life?
According to the law of karma, humans choose the same occupation they had in their previous lives in this life.
Since information about what you've done throughout your life is stored in your consciousness and passed on to your next life, it's natural to feel comfortable in a similar occupation.
Finding this calling is essential not only for karma resolution but also for happiness in life.
“Does doing it bring you peace of mind?” “Does it give you a sense of joy and fulfillment?” “Do you have any doubts?” The author encourages people to ask themselves these questions to examine whether their current job is their calling and to renew their life plan.
■ What is my karma?
How can I know what karma I brought to earth?
One way is to seek help from experts such as a psychic, a hypnotist, or someone who can see through past lives, but first, you should reflect on your life in light of the law of karma.
The law of karma is like a guidebook for life that leads us to a happy life and true growth.
Knowing karma allows you to change your life at any time.
We have the power to change the destiny given to us.
