Neville Goddard's 5-day lecture series
Description
Book Introduction
Neville Goddard's Five Days of Lectures by Metaphysician Neville Goddard It contains the contents of a five-day lecture given in 1948 by the author who has been an amazing and outstanding inspiration to modern self-help instructors such as Mark Victor Hansen, known to us for his 'Chicken Soup for the Soul' series. We are introducing the 'Law of Consciousness' for those who know the power of the 'Law of the Mind' but hesitate or fail to apply it in reality. By freeing our consciousness, we are guided to make our imagination a reality. It especially reminds us that when we face external problems, we must turn our gaze to our inner consciousness. |

Into the book
If you take the feeling of having achieved what you want before going to bed, the law will work.
Control your mind when you go to bed.
The most appropriate term for this technique would be “controllable waking dreaming.”
In dreams, we lose control.
So, enter the state before falling asleep with a waking dream that you have complete control over.
Just as you are the main character in a real dream, try to enter the waking dream state as the main character.
In your dreams, you are always an actor, not an audience.
Even in your controllable waking dreams, you must be an actor and act within them.
Do not treat lightly what you do here, as it will inevitably be reenacted in the three-dimensional world with a physical body.
Now, before we go into the silence, there's something I need to make clear.
This is the effort I mentioned last night.
If there is one reason why people fail in this wide world, it is because they do not know what modern psychologists call 'the law of reverse effort.'
When you accept the feeling of your wish coming true, you have to do it with minimal effort.
You must control the direction of your consciousness, but you must do so with minimal effort.
When you try to control, if you force yourself to do something in a certain direction, you won't get the results you want.
Rather, you will get the opposite result.
That explains why the Bible was founded on Adam's sleep.
Sleep is the first step in the act of creation, and nowhere in the Bible is there any record of anyone ever waking up from that deep sleep.
While he sleeps, creation ceases.
The best time to change your future is when you enter a sleep-like state and control your thoughts.
That way, we can minimize the effort.
In a sleep-like state, your consciousness is sufficiently relaxed.
At that time, you must practice maintaining your consciousness within that feeling without trying to force it or putting in any effort.
Don't be under the illusion for even a moment that you can accomplish these things by sheer force of will.
When we release Barabbas and become one with Jesus, we do not do it intentionally, but we recognize that it has already happened.
That's all there is to it.
Now, as we enter the most important time of the night, the time of prayer, let's review the techniques we will use.
First, you need to know what you want.
Then, envision one event that represents the fulfillment of the wish, and limit that event to one single action.
For example, if I choose the event of shaking hands with someone, I only have to do one thing: shaking hands.
After shaking hands, you shouldn't light a cigarette or do any of the other things.
You just have to keep repeating the actual handshake until it feels real.
The event you are imagining should always represent a wish coming true.
When you envision an event, envision one that would naturally occur after your desired outcome is achieved.
Decide what event you want to realize.
If you successfully complete the process of feeling one with the ideal, you cannot continue wrestling.
It is as if some physical act of creation (sexual intercourse) has been completed.
After a successful prayer, I feel as if I have lost strength, as if I had performed a physical act of creation.
It's like the principle that if you feel satisfied, you don't crave anything anymore.
If the desire persists, it means that you have not been able to explode your ideal within you.
You haven't successfully recognized what you want to become.
If that happens, even when you wake up from deep meditation, you will still have a thirst for what you seek.
--- p.44
There's another technique I mentioned last night.
If you find yourself having trouble concentrating on an action in your imagination, or if you find yourself glued to a chair and unable to believe that the chair is somewhere else, try this:
Summarize the feeling you get when you accomplish something and condense it into one simple sentence: “That’s awesome,” “Thank you,” “I did it,” or “I finished it!”
Don't make it more than three words, and make it something that indicates what you want has already been achieved.
“It’s the best,” or “Thank you,” are expressed correctly.
Of course, you can use other sentences besides these.
Use your own vocabulary to create sentences that suit you.
Make it a very short sentence to show that what you wanted has come true.
After you have created your own sentence in your mind, let the clouds rise.
To put it simply, it's about going to the edge of sleep and rising the clouds.
To do this, simply imagine and feel that you are asleep.
In this state, accept the feeling of the wind coming true as a fact, and repeat that short sentence as if it were a lullaby.
Whatever that sentence is, it must indicate that what you thought is true, real, and has already happened.
Okay, now let's relax and get into the feeling that you're actually becoming what you want to be.
If you do that, you're going into Jericho with a spy who has the power to hand Jericho over to you.
He also frees Barabbas and resurrects Jesus after condemning him to death.
Now, if you let other things go their way and step into the feeling that what you want is already real, you will be reenacting all these Bible stories.
Now, let us have a moment of silence.

Publisher's Review
This book is a collection of books and lectures by Neville Goddard, a metaphysician who has provided incredible inspiration to modern self-help instructors.
Mark Victor Hansen, known for the Chicken Soup for the Soul series, has revealed that Neville Goddard's Resurrection was the book that changed his life.
Neville Goddard discusses the 'laws of consciousness' in this book.
This is a life guide for those who know the power of the 'Law of the Mind' but hesitate or fail to apply it in reality, and guides us to make our imaginations a reality by freeing our consciousness.
Anyone who has heard the saying, “Imagination creates reality,” and tried to use their imagination but it didn’t work out well.
I acknowledge that imagination has great power, but I have difficulty controlling it.
People who try to change their lives but always end up standing still and unable to break the chains of habit.
A person who, when looking at the world, only thinks of the uncertainty and worry about the future rather than the safety of the world.
A person who is full of resentment and hatred rather than joy in interpersonal relationships.
A person who falls asleep because he is overcome by fear and worry.
People who vaguely think that there is a deeper meaning to the Bible, but are frustrated because they can't figure it out.
Someone who vaguely thinks that their existence is not just a combination of cells.
If people like this read this...
