Description
Book Introduction
This book deals with the wisdom of 'self-realization', which is essential for human life, that is, living as one's true self by fully realizing one's potential and possibilities.
The basis of that wisdom is Friedrich Nietzsche, a philosopher who lived in the 19th century.
The key point he emphasized was the human process of ‘self-transcendence’, that is, the process of constantly surpassing oneself.
This refers to the self-change that we constantly experience in our daily lives.
For example, suppressing anger when you feel angry is also self-transcendence.
Furthermore, reconciling with others is a greater act of self-transcendence than simply suppressing anger.
It is ‘self-realization’.

Self-actualization is the process of creating a new self by realizing the various potentials that lie dormant within us.
And this is by no means great or special.
It is something that everyone has been practicing since childhood, and even something that we do unconsciously on a daily basis.
However, when you become aware of the process and practice it consciously, self-realization occurs much faster and more deeply.
I hope this book will help you achieve self-realization.

Into the book
Self-actualization is not a big deal.
Setting lofty goals and working hard toward them isn't everything.
Self-actualization is simply the process of going beyond the complacent attitudes and familiar habits of the past and gradually becoming a new person.
As I mentioned at the beginning of this book, suppressing anger or choosing reconciliation and forgiveness is also a form of higher self-realization.
This inner change may not be apparent on the outside, but it has a profound meaning for me, and sometimes it can even be a kind of 'salvation' in itself.
When people hear the word 'salvation', many think of religious concepts.
But if you ask a religious person, “What is salvation?” the answer you get is usually abstract and vague.
Because we think it is given only by some mysterious power.

But true salvation requires that I myself change and that my life circumstances change positively as a result.
Otherwise, it cannot be called salvation.
In that sense, self-realization is the most concrete and practical form of salvation.
Self-actualization changes my attitude, speech, and actions, ultimately transforming me.
And as I change, the circumstances around me begin to change little by little.
Because one of the things that has made my life difficult so far has been my attitude.
These opportunities for inner self-realization are always available to everyone in their daily lives.
Changing the way you speak or changing small actions can all lead to self-actualization.
Reading a book, changing your thoughts, or starting a new study is also self-realization.
And even household chores like cleaning, laundry, and cooking, if done with all my heart and concentration, become important experiences that help me grow.

Publisher's Review
We must break free from all constraints and realize our own selves.

Nietzsche says:
Animals instinctively fight or run away when faced with a threat, but humans are beings who can consciously face that moment, overcome themselves, and grow.
And when such self-transcendence accumulates one by one, we become a completely different person than before.
That's what a superman is.
Superman is not a qualification obtained by passing through some special gate, but rather refers to the human form itself that consistently practices self-transcendence.
Nietzsche was a man who wanted to convey the message of 'realizing yourself' by breaking free from all existing constraints.
He groped his way through countless metaphors and symbols, and they contain insights that still resonate deeply with us today.
Although the book is written in narrative form, Nietzsche's expressions are full of metaphors and symbols, making it difficult to immediately understand the meaning.
In particular, the word 'superhuman' can lead to misunderstandings because it brings to mind a specific image in our minds, such as Superman.
But if you look at Nietzsche's sentences as if they were poetry, the story is different.
His unique expressions are made up of poetic metaphors and symbols, and when we look into their meaning one by one, a clear message becomes apparent.
