Description
Book Introduction
After the Law of Attraction, Find Your Way with Your Eyes and Records

Neuroscience, quantum mechanics, psychology, etc.
The power of 'gaze and record' proven by science!

“Just one piece of board and one file folder
“You create your own path in life.”

Twenty years ago, The Secret swept the world, imprinting on the public the law of attraction: "If you wish for something with all your heart, it will come true."
Since then, countless self-help books and lectures have repeated this rule, but many people still haven't found a concrete way to turn their "desired future" into reality.

"The Road, the Path Made by Gaze and Records" contains the author's experiences over the past 15 years of bringing the treasures of life he desperately desired into reality through gaze and records, and personally verifying their effectiveness.
Based on the power of "gaze and record," which has been proven through scientific research in neuroscience, quantum mechanics, and psychology, we present a practical roadmap that anyone can implement right now.
It is not based on fancy words or abstract theories, but on real-life experiences and cases that have changed lives.

This book offers the surest way to find the hidden treasure on the treasure island of life.
With just one piece of board and one file, you can walk the 'road' of life with unparalleled clarity.
From students, adults, parents, and young seniors, the process of discovering one's own treasure and completing one's own path, starting from one's own starting point, is vividly depicted.

Into the book
I wrote about the process as a leadership practice case study.
The following year, our story was selected as a "2012 Leadership Excellence Case Study," and we had the opportunity to present our platoon's story to a gathering of 500 people across the military.
The story was published in a booklet and distributed to the entire army.
When I returned to my accommodations after finishing my presentation, a corner of the room suddenly caught my eye.
The post-it note was still there.
"Let's tell the entire army the story of my time as a platoon leader!" Two years ago, a vague phrase like smoke stood before me that day, a clear reality.
--- p.17

When I calculated the time, eight years had already passed.
There are a total of 38 treasures that I have written down so far.
Of these, 33 have already become reality, and the remaining five are currently in progress.
Achievement rate 87%.
And the rest would come naturally someday.
It was as if I had almost made into reality all the treasures I had drawn over the past eight years.
What's interesting is that the search for treasure sometimes leads to unexpected opportunities.
Unplanned but absolutely unmissable, unexpected treasures.
I updated the treasure map every time, and I was able to get my hands on treasures that I hadn't planned on.
--- p.30

Until recently, I was a veteran explorer confidently exploring Treasure Island.
It seemed like the exploration would never stop.
But now I was spending my days in a hospital bed.
'You're not dead.
"My head is fine, and my right foot is still attached." I tried to console myself and hold on to small gratitude, but the positive words I'd read in the book didn't easily sink into my current reality.
My wife remembers me at that time as someone who was 'dominated by post-traumatic stress.'
As the pain subsided, anxiety and fear took over, and my emotions would fluctuate several times a day.
“It’s okay, I can get through this,” he would say, but a few minutes later he would say, “I don’t need any of this, I’m done for.”

--- p.42

Now I accept this disability.
Rather, it was a comma granted to me by God, an opportunity to reorient myself.
It was not a retreat, but a reorganization, not a stop, but a check to move forward.
So I decided not to accept this comma, this period, that God gave me.
--- p.52

I finally realized that true exploration begins the moment you step into the unknown, but taking that first step was never easy.
Only after facing death so close did I think for the first time.
"Isn't it time to head to that unknown territory I must visit before I die?" That awakened something that had been dormant inside me for a long time.
But the familiar world was still there with me.
I hesitated for a long time around the familiar theme park fence.

Publisher's Review
With 'Gaze and Record'
The story of those who found the 'road' where treasure was hidden.

The Road takes the 'attraction of the heart' to the next level.
It doesn't end with simply wishing for it, but contains specific practical methods of checking the goal every day with a 'gaze' and accumulating actions with a 'record'.
Also, throughout the book, stories of people who turned the impossible into possible through the power of visualization and recording unfold.

Stevie Wonder was blind and could not see the world, but he devoted himself to music using sound as his 'sight' and created famous songs that will remain in history through daily practice and recording of compositions.
British street sweeper historian Alan Brigham cleaned the streets during the day and mapped the paths he walked and the changes in the city at night.
The record sheds new light on London's history and culture, earning him the nickname 'street historian.'
Shohei Ohtani drew the future with a mandala chart and recorded his training process.
His journey to becoming the world's best baseball player is a living textbook in the history of sports, created through observation and records.

What they have in common is not just talent, but the habit of looking at the goal every day and recording the progress toward it.
The habit stimulates the brain's "neuroplasticity" to create new possibilities and the "reticular activating system" to ensure that you don't miss out on goal-related opportunities.
The "observer effect" in quantum mechanics shows that the direction we look shapes reality, and the "quantum jump" describes the moment when we surpass that limit.

“Treasure is not luck.

“It is a result given to those who draw their own path.”

In life, light comes without warning, and darkness falls without warning.
The author had such moments too.
He kept a single board and a single file folder by his side, posted his goals, and looked at them every day, making the treasures he desired one by one a reality.
Then, an unexpected accident led to a turning point in his life, a 'permanent disability', and for the first time, he stopped and looked back on the path he had walked.
At that moment, I realized.
That even in the darkest times of life, there is still a way.
The simple habits of 'gaze' and 'recording' brought back a clear picture of my once-dim dreams and helped me rediscover myself.

The author named this single board and file as an exploration tool for exploring the treasure island called life.
That's the treasure map and the exploration journal.
Leaving behind today's choices, thoughts, and growth is clear evidence that you are walking along the path you have chosen within Treasure Island.
The two tools work together.
A treasure map gives you direction, and an exploration journal makes you walk the path.
The simple practice of tackling treasures and documenting your journey will make your future self your most reliable companion.

Author Park Hwan-i served as a military officer for 15 years, practicing the power of ‘vision’ and ‘record.’
After the accident, I chose to share this principle with more people.
Currently, he is the Secretary General of the Korea Mandala Chart Association and works as a self-development instructor, and we are walking together on a journey of discovering treasures on our own paths.
The message this book conveys is simple.
Life is already a treasure island.
On the 'road' created by sight and records, visualize treasures and record the journey.
And get the treasure you want.
