Social Story 158
Social Story 158
Description
Book Introduction
The social stories in this book use first-person and third-person sentences rather than second-person sentences, as children with autism have difficulty reading the minds of others, and deliver clear, unambiguous messages with the safety of children as the top priority.
Also, a method is used to repeat the content by distinguishing the introduction, body, and conclusion by adding a title.
This book was developed in 1991 by a special education teacher named Carol Gray and is widely used in the education of children with autism spectrum disorders.
The social story, with a history of over 20 years, comes to us in the form of 158 social stories in the 10th anniversary edition.
Although I have no professional training or knowledge in translation, I worked on this book with love, imagining that it would be read at home by a child with autism in the voice of a mother.
There are stories that are more powerful and come alive when they are read aloud rather than written down and conveyed to each other's hearts through words.
So many religious scriptures and folk tales have been passed down through history and into our hearts through voices.
I felt that these social stories also had value and power.
