DiMaio's Forensic Pathology
DiMaio's Forensic Pathology
Description
Book Introduction
『DiMaio's Forensic Pathology』 is the first forensic textbook to be officially translated and published in Korea.
This book is a translation of the 3rd edition of DiMaio's Forensic Pathology, co-authored by Dr. Vincent DiMaio and Dr. Kimberley Molina, American forensic pathologists and medical examiners.
The first and second editions of the original book are already widely recognized as the world's leading forensic pathology textbooks, and the third edition, published 20 years later, further solidifies its reputation by broadly reflecting the various advancements in the field of forensic pathology since the 21st century.

In particular, this revised edition includes new chapters on firearm injuries, mass disasters, and forensic science that were not included in the previous edition, making it a useful reference book for a wider range of readers.
This translated version of 『DiMaio's Forensic Pathology』 reflects the 6th edition of the Korean Medical Association's Standard Medical Terminology and the revised forensic terminology as much as possible, but also includes existing, widely used terms when necessary, to enable readers from diverse backgrounds to more easily understand the content.
Additionally, considering that the original book was written in the United States, appropriate footnotes were added to help readers understand the Korean situation, and the original book's index was also supplemented to make it easier for readers to find the content they want.
